JEE Advanced Registration 2018 - Read Complete Details

JEE Advanced Registration 2018 has been started from 2 May 2018. Candidates who qualify JEE Main 2018 have to fill JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form before the deadline. The last date of JEE Advanced online registration has been extended till 8 May. Aspirants who have qualified JEE Main or foreign nationals can apply for JEE Advanced till the extended deadline. No further extension will be done for JEE Advanced registration 2018. Students who have not submitted their application form or have not filled the form completely will not be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2018 on 20 May.  Candidates seeking admission to various undergraduate engineering programs offered by JEE Advanced Participating Institutes are also required to fill the JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form. JEE Advanced Registration 2018 - Apply Online

The JEE Advanced Registration Process has started from 2 May 2018. The candidates who qualify JEE Main will only be allowed to fill the registration form. The last date to fill the form is 8 May 2018. Therefore, the candidates are suggested to fill and submit the form on or before the due date. To avoid any errors/mistakes in filling the form, candidates are advised to check the detailed instructions first. The candidates applying for the exam must check their eligibility criteria before applying.

Steps to be followed to fill the JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form

JEE Advanced 2018 - Online Application Form Instructions

Students need to log in using their JEE Main 2018 Roll Number and apply for appearing in JEE Advanced 2018. The candidates need to know that JEE (Main) roll number is login id of JEE Advanced and the password would be the same as that used for JEE (MAIN). While registering for JEE Advanced 2018, candidates need to enter the following information (as applicable) and also upload soft (scanned) copies of the relevant certificates:  

• Year of First Attempt in JEE (Advanced).
• Choice of Examination City / Town (5 Choices)
• Choice of Language of Question Paper.
• Entitlement of DS Category.
• The requirement of Scribe.
• Original passport size photograph in JPEG format (preferably from a digital camera).
• Legible scanned signature as a JPEG file.
• OCI Card/ PIO Card
• Soft copies of Date of Birth, Class-10 and Category and Sub-Category (PwD) certificate.

Before registering for JEE Advanced 2018, the candidate must ensure that he/she fulfil each and every Eligibility Criteria. Later, if it is found that the candidate does not meet even one of these five eligibility criteria his/ her registration will be cancelled thereon.

Payment of JEE Advanced 2018 Application Fee

The payment of the application fee is to be paid in online mode or Offline mode, candidates can opt any of the three options for the payment from the options listed below.

• Payment by SBI Debit Card/Internet Banking: The candidates can pay the aJEE Advanced Application Fee via State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS). 

  After successful payment, the candidate will be able to print the “Registration Details” with UNIQUE Registration Number.

• Payment by CASH using SBI Branch Option: In case of Cash payment candidate has to select “SBI Branch” and system will generate the challan. The candidate has to take a printout of the system generated challan and take it to the SBI branch for making cash payment.
• Payment for SAARC and Non-Saarc Exam Centres: Those candidates who want to select the SAARC and Non-Saarc as the examination city are required to pay the registration fee as mentioned above through International Debit/Credit Card issued by Foreign Banks and issued outside India.

Pre-requisite for JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form

• Photograph: Arecentheadcentered in the frame covering 70-80% of the colour photograph of the full face. The photograph should be such that the identification process becomes hassle-free. The specification of the image should be as follow:
  • Format: JPG/JPEG
  • Size: Between 4kb to 10kb
  • Dimension: In the ratio of 3.5:4.5 (Width: Height)
• Signature and Left Thumb Impression: Scanned copy of candidate’s full signature and left-hand thumb impression. The specification of the image should be as follow:
  • Format: JPG/JPEG: 
  • Size: Between 1kb to 30kb
  • Dimensions: In the ratio of 3.5:1.5 (Width: Height)
• Certificate to be uploaded: Scanned copies of the certificates to be uploaded must greater than 100kb and also must be less than 300kb.

Documents Required for JEE Advanced Registration

• For All the Candidates:  The Size of the documents, mark sheets and certificate needs to be greater than 50kb but less than 300kb and the format need to be JPG/JPEG.
  • Class 12 Board Mark Sheet: If in case the candidate has appeared in Class 12 Board Exam in 2017 then the certificate of Class 12 or Equivalent Examination. 
• Class 10 Certificate: For the age proof class 10 certificate OR Birth certificate if the date of birth is mentioned on them.
  • If the name is not same as mentioned in Class 10 certificate, then the notification issued by the Gazetted Officer. 
• For the SC and ST Category Candidates: Caste Certificate has to be submitted by the ones coming under SC category and Tribe Form has to be submitted by the ones coming under ST category. (Format of SC/ST Caste Certificate)
• For the OBC-NCL Category Candidates: The OBC-NCL candidates are required to submit Form EC 2 issued on or after June 1, 2014, and conforming to the latest guidelines of the Government of India. (Format of OBC-NCL)
• For the PwD Category Candidates: ThePwD Category candidates are required to submit:
  • Disability certificate (FORM-PwD [II/III/IV], whichever is applicable]) issued by a district medical board / competent authority. 
  • PwD 2 Certificate (In cases of amputation or complete permanent paralysis of limbs and in cases of blindness)
  • PwD 3 Certificate (In cases of multiple disabilities)
  • PwD 4 Certificate (In cases other than those mentioned in Forms II and III)
• For the Scribe Category Candidates: The Scribe Category Candidates are required to submit:
  • Request letter to the Chairman of the respective Zonal IIT.

• For the DS Category Candidates: The DS Category Candidates are required to submit the certificate issued by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi under the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The Candidates whose Class XII examination Board is outside India or not listed in examination considered as equivalent to class XII are required to submit a certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII examination.
