NIFT Final Result 2018 has been declared by National Institute of Fashion and Technology. The final result of NIFT has been declared on 15 May 2018. The students can check their NIFT Result of the entrance exam regarding overall merit rank obtained by them. The candidates can check the result by providing their Roll Number, Date of Birth, Application Number (Any two of them). On the basis of the result of the written test, the candidates seeking admission in BDes were called for the situation test. This result has been prepared after evaluating the situation test. However, for B.F.Tech, GAT (written exam) is considered as the final test for selection. The link to check the NIFT Result 2018 is given towards the end of this page.

NIFT Final Result 2018 has been declared on 15 May 2018. The result is declared by National Institute of Fashion and Technology. The candidates are required to enter their login credentials in the following link to check NIFT Result 2018. The final result has been declared for BDes, MGM, MDes and MFtech. The final result is not released for B.F.Tech as the GAT (written exam) is considered final for selection for the admission in this course. The candidates can check their result by entering any of the two given credentials:

National Institute of Fashion and Technology has also released the closing rank along with the result. The candidates can check the last merit rank of last year based on which the candidates can get the idea of the campus they can get admission into. Check the last merit rank here in the list below -

NIFT Reservation based on Result

Seats are reserved for SC, ST and OBC students across all NIFT Campus. 15% Seats are reserved for SC Students, 7.5% for ST Students and 27% seats for OBC Non Creamy layer. 3% seats are reserved for differently abled students. 

There are supernumerary seats in NIFT and these are additional seats over and above the normal seats. 15% Supernumerary seats are for foreign nationals, 20% supernumerary seats for state domicile students. Jammu and Kashmir have a domicile quota but do not have the supernumerary seats. The state domicile students will be allotted seats from the normal quota seats.

Domicile for NIFT Admission after Result

The domicile of the student will be the state in which the candidate has completed his/her class 12th examination/ graduation/qualifying degree. In case the applicant has obtained the qualifying certificate/ degree through Distance Learning mode, the address of the school regularly attended by the candidate will determine his/her domicile status.

NIFT domicile is applicable to Bihar, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir.

After NIFT Result

NIFT written test result is the final result for the B.FTech students. The result will be declared for Written Result is not the final result for all other courses as the shortlisted students have to appear in further rounds of selection. B.Design Students have to appear in the Situation Test which will be held in April/May. M.Design and MFtech students have to appear in GD/PI.

Situation Test which is a hands-on test to evaluate the candidate’s skills for material handling and innovative ability on a given situation with a given set of materials. They have to develop a model from the given material on the given subject, and it would be evaluated on the following criteria. Apart from creating the model the candidate also has to write up to explain their model in the English Language.

• the finesse of the model and overall presentation etc

NIFT Counselling 2018

NIFT Counselling 2018 details will be made available on the official website in the month of April 2018. The counselling is the process of seat allotment for various NIFT Campus.  

Documents required at the time of NIFT Counselling 

The following documents along with the photocopies shall be needed for Admission after qualifying the entrance examination.

• Class 12 Mark Sheet and Certificate: Mark Sheet and Certificate of Class 12
• Bank Draft(s) of requisite fee in favour of “NIFT HO” has to be bought. The name of the candidate, date of counselling, phone/ mobile no., name of the programme, Category, Rank and Roll Number is to be mentioned at the back of Bank Draft
• Proof of Age: Class 10 Certificate
• Reserved Category Certificates: SC/ST/OBC - Non-Creamy/Physically Handicapped Certificate
• Medical Fitness Certificate: Certificate of Medical Fitness to be signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format in original.
• Affidavit: Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- for seeking provisional admission only in case, the result of qualifying examination is yet to be declared
• An undertaking regarding AntiRagging
• An undertaking regarding refund of fee.

Union Bank of India provides pre-sanctioned loans for candidates who qualify for the NIFT admission.
