VITEEE Counselling 2018 - VIT Counselling Dates announced

VITEEE Counseling 2018 dates have been announced by the VIT University. The counselling of VITEEE 2018 will be done in two phases in offline mode only. The phase I of VITEEE counselling will begin from 9 to 11 May 2018. The rank holders from 1 to 20,000 are allowed to appear for the counselling process. The second phase of VIT counselling has also been announced and will begin from 14 to 18 May 2018. Candidates with rank 20,0001 to 99,999 will be eligible to appear for phase II counselling of VITEEE 2018. Candidates can report at any of the campuses nearest to them which are located in Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati and Bhopal. Candidates must report at the VITEEE 2018 counselling campuses as per the rank and time specified by the authority. VITEEE result will be declared on or before 27 April 2018. VIT Counselling would be held for the 4 campuses of VIT and the student can attend counselling at any of the Campus.

• VIT Vellore
• VIT Chennai
• VIT Bhopal
• VIT Amaravathi (AP)

•  VITEEE 2018 Rank holders between 1 to 99999 are eligible to attend the counselling for admission in Vellore / Chennai / Bhopal (MP) / VIT-AP VITEEE-2018
• Rank holders 100000 and Above are not eligible for admission in Vellore / Chennai / VIT-AP
• For VIT- Bhopal: VITEEE-2018 Rank holders upto 150000 are eligible to attend the counselling for admission in Bhopal (MP).

VITEEE Counselling Procedure for Allocation of Seats/Branch

The counselling for allocation of branches to the short-listed candidates is based on their All India Rank (AIR) in the VITEEE 2018. 

• Change of date/time of counselling is generally not permissible. If a candidate does not personally appear before the Admission Committee for counselling/Interview on the date and time specified, his/her seat shall be offered to the next candidate in order of merit.
• A candidate should decide for certain on whether he/she should join the program based on the branch allotted to him/her at the time of counselling before the payment of the fee.
• If the mark statement of the qualifying exam has not been received before the date of counselling, the candidate has to provide an undertaking stating that if he/she fails to qualify as per the norms, his / her admission can be terminated.

VIT Admission Fee Payment at the time of VIT Counselling

Advance Payment: Once the seat is confirmed and the branch allotted has been accepted, the candidate is required to submit a Demand Draft of Rs. 50000 drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore. This includes Rs 12,000 towards counselling fee.

Kindly Note: The counselling fee is NON-REFUNDABLE, but it will be adjusted with the tuition fees once the candidates join the University. But, if he withdraws the admission then the whole amount paid will not be refunded.

Advance Payment for Hostel: Candidates, who require hostel accommodation, will have to submit a separate Demand Draft of Rs 21,000 drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore. The applicants have to enter the choice of bed (two bedded / three bedded etc.) while filling the online counselling form. The balance fee has to be paid by the second week of June 2018

VIT University Counselling 2018: Documents Required

The candidates are required to carry the required documents in original along with one set of photocopies while reporting for counselling. No candidate will be allowed to participate in the counselling process without these documents:

1. VITEEE 2018 e-Admit Card
2. Copy of Aadhar Card
3. VITEEE Result copy
4. Class 10 Board Certificate as a proof of date of birth or any age proof Certificate
5. Marks Sheet of Qualifying Examination (if available)
6. Community Certificate (For SC/ST only)
7. Nativity Certificate (For candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).
8. Demand Draft of Rs. 50,000 drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore as Advance Payment.
9. Undertaking Form
10. For Hostel Admission, Candidate must present a demand draft of Rs. 21,000 drawn in favour of ‘VIT UNIVERSITY’ payable at Vellore.

Documents required at the time of Admission
Following documents should be furnished by the candidate at the time of admission in order to complete admission formalities:

1. 4 Recent Passport size colour photos.
2. Conduct Certificate
3. Migration Certificate (if issued by the Board)
4. Community Certificate ( For SC/ST only)
5. Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate
6. Qualifying examination mark statements of all attempts.
7. Provisional Admission Letter. (Photocopy)
8. Physical Fitness Certificate
9. Nativity Certificate (For candidates hailing from J&K and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura).
10. Affidavit to be given by the Student, Parent / Guardian, and Hostel Affidavit separately as per Annexure - I / II and IV / V
11. 2 sets of photocopies of all original documents
