JEE Advance 2018 appearing candidate can request for the service of Scribe (amanuensis) if he/she is visually impaired, dyslexic has the disability in the upper limbs or has lost fingers/ hands which make them unable to bubble around the right answer. The day and time of JEE advanced 2018 will remain same for the candidates using the service of the scribe. However, such candidates will get one-hour compensatory time.
Availing Scribe Facility for JEE Advance 2018
The candidate must submit a separate request letter (SCRIBE-Form) to the Chairman of the respective zonal IIT while registering for JEE (Advanced) 2018 along with a copy of the PwD certificate obtained from the district medical board. For this, The soft (scanned) copies of the request letter along with PwD certificate must be uploaded during the registration process.
Candidate seeking Scribe service need to upload one of the following:
- PwD certificate FORM-PwD [II/III/IV, whichever is applicable].
- A copy of the certificate of the Dyslexic candidate (FORM-DYSLEXIC).
The format of the Request letter can be downloaded by following the links given above. The scribe will be provided by the Presiding Officer (PO) of the Examination Centre and will be of Class 11 standard from Science stream with Mathematics. The candidate will be able to meet the scribe provided by the PO a minimum of one hour before the scheduled examination time.
