GPAT 2019 – Graduate Pharmacy Admission Test also known as GPAT is a national level entrance examination for admission to M.Pharm courses. GPAT 2019 will be conducted on 27 January in a total of 58 cities of India. From the year 2019, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting GPAT in computer based mode. The application form of GPAT 2019 will begin from 22 October 2018. Candidates must go through GPAT eligibility criteria before applying for GPAT exam. The last date for GPAT registration 2019 will be till 15 December 2018. NTA GPAT 2019 admit card can be downloaded from second week of January, by candidates whose application will be accepted. GPAT 2019 exam will contain 125 multiple choice questions (MCQs), which must be completed within 3 hours. As per GPAT exam pattern, 4 marks will be awarded for a correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect response. GPAT result will be announced in the first week of February 2019 by NTA, in form of score card. Earlier, till 2018 All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was the conducting authority for GPAT, as per the directives of MHRD, Government of India. On 7 July 2018, MHRD minister, Prakash Javdekar announced in a press conference that National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct GPAT 2019 exam. However, there will no change in GPAT syllabus and exam pattern.

Aspirants must go through the eligibility criteria of GPAT 2019 before applying:
B.Tech (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology) or equivalent aspirants.
As mentioned earlier, the GPAT application form 2019 will be available from 22 October 2018. The last date for GPAT online registration is 15 December 2018.
GPAT application fee for general and OBC aspirants is Rs. 1400, while Girls/ST/SC/PwD aspirants need to pay Rs. 700. The application fee can be paid either in online or offline mode.
The admit card of GPAT 2019 will be issued from the second week of January. Only those aspirants whose application form has been accepted can download GPAT admit card 2019. To download GPAT hall ticket 2019, candidates need to enter the user ID and password in the login window. GPAT 2019 admit card will contain the personal details of the applicant, date, time, exam centre name and details. Candidates must verify the details mentioned in GPAT admit card 2019. No one will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card and one valid ID proof.

GPAT 2019 Exam Pattern
As per the exam pattern of GPAT 2019, the exam will be 500 marks. Only three hours will be allotted to complete 125 multiple choice questions. Check the detailed GPAT exam pattern from the table below:

As mentioned earlier, GPAT is the computer based exam, thus, no official question papers of GPAT 2019 will be released. However, some coaching institutes may release GPAT question papers 2019 on the basis of memory of students. Questions asked in the entrance examination will be based on the GPAT syllabus prescribed by NTA. As per the press release published by NTA, there will no change in the syllabus. GPAT syllabus 2019 contains the subjects and topics which were covered in B.Pharm.

NTA will not release the answer key of GPAT 2019, as the examination will be conducted in the computer based mode. Some of the leading coaching centres may release GPAT answer key on the basis of memory of students. However, if the conducting authority or coaching centre will release the answer key of GPAT 2019, it will be available on this page.
National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the result of GPAT 2019 in the first week of February. Along with GPAT result, the merit list and score card will be released. In order to download the GPAT 2019 result, aspirants need to enter the roll number. The result will display the rank, marks and qualifying status in the result.
GPAT Score Card 2019
As mentioned earlier, the score card of GPAT 2019 will be released along with the result in the first week of February 2019. In the login window, aspirants need to enter the email ID and password to download GPAT score card 2019. It must be noted that GPAT score card is valid for one year to get scholarship in Masters in Pharmacy programme. In case any candidate wants to pursue PhD programme in Pharmacy, GPAT score card 2019 will be valid for three years for pursuing National Doctoral Scholarship. In 2016, a total of 2,711 candidates qualified in GPAT, while a total of 26,323 aspirants did not manage to qualify the PG scholarships.
The cut off of GPAT 2019 is the minimum qualifying scores required to pass the entrance test. In other hands, GPAT cut off 2019 is the criteria for shortlisting candidates for admission to M.Pharm programmes. Below is the minimum qualifying criteria for each candidate for the year 2018:

GPAT Counselling 2019
The counselling of GPAT 2019 will begin tentatively from February at the respective participating institutes. Only aspirants who will qualify the entrance test securing the cut off will be called for GPAT 2019 counselling. The counselling and seat allotment process will be done on the basis of All India Rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses and seats available. The individual participating institutes will conduct GPAT counselling 2019.

Question: Can I take the entrance test from any computer?
Answer: No, candidates will be allotted an exam centre of GPAT 2019 and they will be assigned a pre-assigned computer for the entrance test.
Question: What does a computer based test looks like?
Answer: NTA will prepare a trial test facility for the aspirants. With the help of trial test facility, candidates will be able to get familiarize with the computer based test. The trial test will be available in the month of October, tentatively.
Question: How many questions will be asked in GPAT 2019?
Answer: GPAT 2019 will contain a total of 125 objective type questions carrying four marks for each correct answer.
