JAM 2018 - Joint Admission Test for MSc 2018 is an online entrance exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on behalf of Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. The main objective of JAM is to provide admissions to various MSc, MSc PhD Dual-degree and other post-graduate programs based on the performance in a single test.

Nationality - JAM 2018 is open to all Nationals (Indian as well as Foreign).
Age - There is no Age Bar
Educational Qualification - The candidates who have appeared in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2018 are eligible to appear in the JAM Test.
The candidates who are seeking admissions to various MSc, MSc PhD Dual-degree and other post-graduate programs are required to fill the JAM Application form 2018 through online mode. The application process will start from 5 September 2017 and the link to apply online will be available from the same date. Meanwhile, the candidates can go through the steps mentioned below on this page.
The admit card will be available from 9 January 2018. The admit card will bear the Candidate's Name, Registration Number, Photograph etc. The admit card will only be available on the official website only for those eligible candidates who have submitted their duly filled application forms before the due date.
The candidates should know that an admit card is an important document to be carried at the exam centre else, the candidates will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

The results for the JAM 2018 will be released on 20 March 2018. The admission of the candidates will be done based on the JAM merit.
The candidates should know that the merit lists will be prepared separately for each category i.e. the merit list will be prepared for the General, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, SC, ST and PwD category candidates.

The JAM 2018 is a Computer Based online examination which will be held on 11 February 2018 (Sunday) in two sessions. The schedule for different Test Papers of JAM 2018 is given below.

Question Paper for visually challenged PwD candidates- There will be a 'magnified question paper' for visually challenged PwD candidates. Such candidates have to contact the JAM Institute Representative through the invigilator present at the examination hall.
Scribe facility- The facility of the scribe is meant for only those PwD candidates who have physical limitation to write including that of speed. The additional time would be applicable only to such candidates
There are total 8 institutes in which the JAM Test will be conducted. The distribution of the cities for the JAM Test is done on the basis of Institute.
