Earlier,  on 2 June 2018, the Presidency University has announced the PUBDET/PUMDET result online. For the convenience of candidates, a link is provided on this page. Candidates who have appeared for the test can check their PUMDET and PUBDET result 2018 by entering their application number, password, and date of birth. Students must note that the university won't be accepting any request for rechecking of the result. PUBDET (Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test) is being held for admission to the undergraduate programme of the University. Presidency University PUBDET/PUMDET 2018 Dates

 The table below provides the list of important dates regarding the PUBDET and PUMDET admission process 2018.

Presidency University conducts two separate tests. One is liable to get admission into the Bachelor courses (PUBDET) whereas another one is for the admission into Master courses (PUMDET). The eligibility criteria for both the entrances are given on this page. The candidates are suggested to go through the complete details regarding the eligibility requirement.

Academic Qualification for Presidency University PUBDET

The candidates passed in in the Higher Secondary Examination (class 12) conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or conducted by the CBSE or an equivalent examination, are eligible to apply for PUBDET 2018. The candidates who have appeared in the Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12) in 2018 are also eligible to apply. At least five recognised subjects, including the English language, must be in class 12 and the candidates must secure a minimum aggregate score as per the following:

Academic Qualification for Presidency University PUMDET

The candidates who have passed or appearing B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) the final examination in 2018 from any recognised college or university or institutes are eligible to apply for PUMDET 2018. The candidates must secure a percentage of marks in their graduation subject as per the table is given below:

Presidency University application form for PUBDET and PUMDET will be available from 6 February and 13 February respectively. And the candidates would be able to fill the form by online only. To fill the Presidency University application form, the candidates have to follow the simple guideline given on this page. 

Steps to fill the Presidency University PUBDET/ PUMDET Application Form 2018

STEP 1: Registration - To make the online application form the candidates need to have a working mobile number and an email ID. First, the candidates have to register themselves on the official web portal of Presidency University by using their name, mobile number and email id, Father’s Name, Mother’s name and Date of birth.

STEP 2: Filling the Application Form - After registration, the candidates have to fill up various personal information such as Address, Choice of examination zones, Nationality, Income category, etc and after that, the candidates have to provide the details of their academic record. After that, the candidates have to review the filled application form (make changes if required) and have to submit it.

STEP 3: Uploading Images - Now the candidates will be required to upload scanned images of their recent colour photograph and signature. The candidates have to upload a scanned copy of these images in one go. The photograph must be featured with the following:

• Background of the photograph should be of very light colour.
• The face of the candidate should occupy at least 50% of the entire space for photograph looking straight to the camera.

STEP 4: Making Payment - After uploading a photograph and signature, the candidates will automatically enter to the application fee payment step. Now the candidates have to make payment of the application fee in cashless mode by using internet banking such as debit card, credit card or net banking. The candidates can also pay through Allahabad Bank e-challan which will be automatically generated after selecting the same option.

Submission of Application Form

Presidency University application form for both PUBDET and PUMDET can be made only through online mode on the official website of Presidency University. After completing all step to fill the application form, a confirmation page will appear on the screen and the candidates have to take a print out and keep it safe for the future references.

Presidency University PUBDET Admit Card 2018

The candidates who have submitted the PUBDET/ PUMDET application form will be able to download their PUBDET/PUMDET admit card. PUBDET Admit Card is available on 2 May 2018 whereas the admit card for PUMDET will be available from 3 May 2018. The candidates have to download and take a printout of it. The candidates must bring the PUBDET/ PUMDET admit card to the examination centre. Admit card will also be required at the time of admission. In order to enter the examination hall, the candidates also need to bring the following document along with the admit card:

• A copy of coloured photograph uploaded during online application.
• A photo identity card in original such as Aadhar card/ Pan card/ Passport/ 10th standard admit card/ School – ID card.

Application Fee: To appear in the PUBDET/PUMDET examination, the candidate has to pay the application fee of Rs. 500  which is same for each category candidates. The candidates can pay the Application fee in "Online" mode using any of the payment options below, Payment status is updated online and hence should show ‘OK’ immediately after the payment.

The candidates will be selected for admission to their desired program at Presidency University Kolkata on the basis of PUBDET/ PUMDET. The candidates who do not have their final year examination result and are selected for admission to their desired program will be given provisional admission on the basis of production of their previous mark sheets/grade cards of all previous semester or annual examination at their graduation level. Such candidates will have to submit their final year mark sheet by 31 August 2018.

The PUBDET and PUMDET result has been announced and is available online. To check Presidency University PUBDET and PUMDET result 2018, candidates are required to enter their Application number, password, and date of birth. Soon the University will be announcing the notification for seat allotment and counselling rounds. Candidates who have qualified in the test are required to visit the counselling centre along with the required documents.

Presidency University PUBDET/PUMDET Counselling 

Presidency University PUBDET and PUMDET admission will be done through an admission counselling conducted by Presidency University itself. The candidates appeared and qualified in the entrance examination will have to participate in the admission counselling process. The Presidency University has released an official notification for conducting PUBDET admission counselling.

The list of waitlisted candidates against the number of vacant seats (category-wise and subject-wise) is mentioned below. These vacant seats will be filled up through counselling based on ranks against the number of waitlisted candidate. The counselling is likely to be held at the same venue as happened previously, the last year counselling venue: Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, 73 Abinash Chandra Banerjee Lane, Kolkata -700 010.
