DUVASU Admissions 2018 - UP Veterinary Entrance Exam

DUVASU Admissions 2018 in different courses are done on the basis of UP Veterinary Entrance Exam which is also known as Mathura PVT.  The candidate seeking admission in these programs must be a Domicile of Uttar Pradesh. The students must have passed or will appear in class 12 exam in 2018 with the subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50% marks. The application process for the academic session 2018-19 has started from 5 February 2018 and closed on 5 May 2018.

About DUVASU: Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan (DUVASU), Mathura was established by the government of Uttar Pradesh in 2001. BV Sc. & AH offered in DUVASU is 5½ years degree programme as per MSVE-Regulation 2016 of Veterinary Council of India (VCI). Domicile: The candidates seek admission into BV Sc. & AH program at U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal University must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh (Not in the case of NRI/NRI sponsored candidates).

Age: The candidates must be aged less than 17 years old and maximum 25 years old on or before 31 December 2018. 5 years of age relaxation in maximum age will be provided to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC).

Educational qualification: To be eligible for apply for admission into BV Sc. & AH program, the candidates must have passed in class 12 examinations with the subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates must have obtained 50% (45% marks for reserved category candidates) aggregate marks in class 12 examination.

• The candidates appearing in Intermediate Examination of 2018 are also eligible to appear in the Pre - Veterinary Test (PVT)

Eligibility Criteria for NRI Candidates: The NRI candidates who want to get admission into BV Sc. & AH program at U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal University under NRI quota must have passed in class 12 standard examinations with minimum 50% aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English.

The candidates who are appearing in class 12 examinations this year are also eligible to appear for admission Pre - Veterinary Test (PVT); however, admission of such candidates will also be governed by the rules mentioned above.

The candidates seek admission in BV Sc. & AH program at U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal University have to fill the application form only through online mode on the official website of U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal University at www.upvetunivexam.com. the candidates have to follow the steps given below:

After entering the personal details and educational details, the candidates have to upload a scanned copy of recent passport size colour photograph, scanned copy of signature and thumb impression. The size of the scanned copy of the photograph, signature and thumb impression (Left thumb impression for boys and right thumb impression for girls) must be within 80 kb. All the scanned copy should be in jpeg format.

STEP 4: Make payment

Now the candidates have to make payment of the application fee only using online payment mode. The candidates can make payment by credit card or debit card or internet banking. After successfully making payment of the application fee, a completed application form will be generated which will have a registration number.

The candidates need not send the printed application form to the college but they should keep a copy of the form for future reference.

The candidates can download the admit card for Preliminary PVT Examination from the official website. Only the candidates who will qualify in the preliminary - examination can download the admit card for the Main examination. The admit card for the main examination will also be downloaded from the official website.

Admit card is an important document to appear in the examination hall. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Candidates should note that they need to download the admit card from the official website, it will not be dispatched through post. DUVASU Application Fee: The application fee for appearing in Pre - Veterinary Test (PVT) for admission in BV Sc. & AH program at U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal University is Rs 1500 for all category candidates.

The candidates selected for admission have to pay an admission fee as under

The following table shows the detailed fee structure of yearly fee in BV Sc. & AH program at UP Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University. Tuition fee for the full year course is Rs.1,24,850 which does not include hostel and mess charges.

The candidates will be selected for admission into BV Sc. & AH program at U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal University only on the basis of their performance in the main PVT examination 2018 which was conducted by DUVASU, Mathura in two phases:

• First, DUVASU will conduct Preliminary Examination at various centres. The candidates have to score good marks in this examination so that they can qualify for next examination.
• The candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will be allowed to appear in the main examination which is scheduled to be conducted at Mathura.

PVT Result: The result of the Pre- Veterinary Test (PVT) will be notified within one week of the conduct of entrance examinations on the University website.

In the case of the candidates having the equal marks in the main PVT entrance examination, their inter-se ranking will be determined on the basis of their aggregate percentage of marks and marks in the science subject.

DUVASU  Exam Pattern for Pre- Veterinary Test

Pre- Veterinary Test was conducted by DUVASU, Mathura for BV Sc. & AH admission the test will be conducted in two phases: The Preliminary Exam and the Main Exam. 

• Duration of Exam: 3 hours
• Mode of Exam: Pen and Paper Based Test
• No. of Questions: 200 Questions
• Marking Scheme: Four marks for each correct answer.
• Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

PVT Syllabus: The UP PVT syllabus will be of Class 12 level. It will be similar to Uttar Pradesh / CBSE or Equivalent Board.

3 students from each year are selected for the award under University Merit Scholarship on the basis of their scholastic merit in their respective classes. The tuition fee for such students is also waived off. The candidates applying for admission through VCI are also eligible for National Talent Scholarship of ICAR Rs. 2000 per month.
