SMVDU MBA Admissions 2018

SMVDU MBA Admissions 2018 will be conducted on the basis of CAT Exam 2017 only. CAT Exam 2017 will be conducted on 26 November 2017 and the CAT scores will be used as the standard of the admissions to the MBA admissions in School of Business, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU). Apart from MBA, there are many other courses offered by SMVDU. Although, on this page, only the details about the SMVDU MBA Admission is given. SMVDU MBA is offered to the candidates with the given below specialisations:

The application process for the SMVDU MBA Admission has started, the candidates are suggested to fill the application form on or before the due date. The last date of filling the application form for SMVDU MBA Admissions 2018 is 22 December 2017.

SMVDU MBA Admissions 2018 Dates

Educational Qualification: Applicants must hold a valid bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Duration of graduation must be minimum of 3 years.

Final Year Students: The candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor degree/equivalent examination or those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting result can also apply; they will be given provisional admissions until they submit their final year scores to the university.

Qualifying Entrance Exam: Applicants will have to take the CAT 2017 Exam which will be conducted on 26 November 2017. Candidates who have appeared in the CAT Exam 2016 and before are not eligible to apply for SMVDU MBA Admissions 2018.

The application process for the SMVDU MBA Admission has started. The candidates who are willing get admission into the MBA course should fill the application form. The admission would be done based on CAT scores, still, the candidates have to fill the application form to make their entry for the admission. 

The candidates are suggested to fill the form on or before the due date. The last date to fill the application form is 12 December 2017. The steps to fill the SMVDU MBA Application Form is given below.

Steps to fill the SMVDU MBA Application Form 2018

• STEP 1:  Applicants have to download the application form and fill it carefully with black or blue pen only.
• STEP 2: The candidates have to fill the application form giving their basic and academic details in the columns specified that must match with their original documents as any false information can lead to termination of their admission.
• STEP 3: Applicants have to enter their CAT Exam details such as examination centre code and CAT registration code along with the test dates.
• STEP 4:  Applicants have to now affix their passport size photograph on the space provided in the application form.
• STEP 5: Applicants have to attach 5 passport size photographs and self-attested copies of documents as proof supporting information given in the application form.

Payment of SMVDU MBA Application fee

After successfully filling up the application form, the candidates have to pay an amount against the Brochure + Application Form Fee. The payment of the fee can be done using online internet gateway facility. After making the payment, an email confirmation will be sent to the students.

Submission of the Application Form

The candidates after filling up the application form should submit the form online. However, it is the prior responsibility of the candidates to ensure that the details filled by the candidates are correct in all aspect. After submitting the application form, the candidates are suggested to keep at least two printouts with them for future reference.

Documents to be enclosed with SMVDU MBA Application form 2018

Applicants have to enclose the following self-attested photocopies of the documents at the time of the submission of the application form:

• Secondary School Examination Certificates (SSC) for DOB
• Bachelors/ UG Degree & Marks-Sheet for all years/semesters of Bachelors/ UG Degree program
• CAT Exam 2017 Admit Card
• Certificate duly signed by the Principal/Registrar of the College/Institute from where the student has appeared in the qualifying examination, in case the result is yet to be declared.
• Migration Certificate
• Character Certificate from the Principal of the College/Institute last attended or from Gazetted officer
• Proof of Residence Address
• Five recent Passport Size Photographs

The candidates have to make the payment of Rs.1,100 against the Brochure and Application Fee. The annual course fee for SMVDU MBA programme is given in the table below.

• The candidates will be shortlisted as per their CAT Exam Scores, the better the score more will be the probability of applicant to be shortlisted. On evaluating the CAT scores and application forms of the applicants only a few shortlisted candidates will attend the next round i.e. Group discussion and Personal Interview.
• Final Selections of the students will be made on the basis of their performance in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The admission into the SMVDU MBA Programme will be done based on CAT scores. Hence, the candidates who are appearing in CAT entrance exam scheduled to be conducted on 26 November 2017, they need to understand the exam pattern given below.

CAT Exam Pattern for SMVDU MBA Admission 2018

• CAT will be of 180 minutes containing 100 questions in total, students are allowed to use the on-screen calculator for the calculations.
• CAT 2017 will be a combination of MCQ and Descriptive Questions i.e. the students have to write the answer without having any access to the options for the answers.
• CAT Exam questions will be divided into three sections where 60 minutes will be given to complete each section.
• Candidates must complete one section within the given time limit to move on to another.
• The candidates must note that there is no provision for jumping from one section to another.
