Indian Airforce Airmen Selection 2018 - Indian Air Force has released the notification regarding inviting online applications from the unmarried male candidates for selection test intake 02/2019. It is to be noticed by the candidates that the application process will start from 3 July 2018 and will conclude on 24 July 2018. The candidates before filling up the application form for Indian Airforce Airmen Selection should ensure their eligibility. Online applications will be filled by unmarried male candidates of India and Nepal in Group X trades (except education instructor trade) and Group Y trades (except automobile technician, ground training instructor, Indian air force (police), Indian air force (security) and musician trades). Indian Airforce Airmen Selection 2018 for 02/2019 batch is done for the following given groups -
This year applications are to be filled and submitted ‘online’ only. Candidates have to join Indian Airforce as the Technical and Non-Technical (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician) as the Airmen for 02/2019 batch. Applicants have to send the hard copy of the documents and the application form to the CASB centre mention below the page.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.OR
Must have passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering from any stream shown below, from a Government recognised Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate, and 50% marks in English in Diploma or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course.

For Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade: Candidate must have passed 10+2/ Intermediate/equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

IAF registration for the selection of Airmen post (02/2019) batch will begin from 3 July 2018. Eligible candidates should fill and submit the application form on or before the due date. The last date to fill the application form of IAF for Airmen is 24 July 2018. It is to be noticed by the candidates that if any candidates who wish to apply for both Groups ‘X&Y’ in one sitting, should fulfil eligibility criteria of each of the category individually.

The candidates filling the online application form for Indian Air Force Airmen Selection 2018 for 02/2019 batch have to upload the following documents while filling the online application form -
Once the candidate completes filling the application form of Indian Air Force Airmen Selection for 02/2019 batch, they are suggested to cross-check the information filled by them before finally submitting the application form. When the candidates submit the application form, they are required to keep the printout of the same with them for future use. The application process is completely online so no hardcopy of the application form will be sent to the office of Airforce.
The admit card for Indian Airforce Airmen Selection test will be available to download for the candidates in the month of April 2018. The exact date to release the admit card to download is yet to be notified by the Indian Air Force. Indian Airforce will release the online provisional admit card which is to be downloaded by the applicant and a coloured printout of the same is to be carried by them at the examination centre on the day of test as indicated on their respective Admit Cards.

NOTE - The candidates applying for Indian Air Force Airmen Recruitment 2018 for 02/2019 batch have to pay the online examination fee of Rs.250 using online and offline modes of making payment.
Indian Airforce Selection procedure is always conducted under the fair and free means; all the applicants will be shortlisted and selected on the basis of their merit and only after qualifying all selection rounds. Requirements from the candidate - The candidate should bring latest prescription (one-month validity) and spectacles for corrected vision if used. The prescription must bear the signature, stamp and registration number of Eye Specialist. Candidates are also advised to get tartar and stains removed from teeth before appearing for the Medical Examination. Ears should be free of wax.
All India provisional select list (AISL) will be published on 31 April 2018, at all the airmen selection centres (ASCS) and on www.airmenselection.gov.in. However, the final list will be out on 10 June 2019. It comprises of the shortlisted candidates from all over India that has cleared all the screening process including Medical and Fitness Test. The validity of the AISL will be 12 months from the date of display and will be applicable only for intakes 02/2019.

Electronics Fitter |
As an Electronics Fitter candidates will be trained to operate and maintain Radar, Voice, Data transmission-reception equipment mounted on latest airborne weapon delivery systems and ground-based air defence systems. Applicants will get trained in Digital Electronics, measuring instruments, radar technology, latest electronics devices and related trade fundamentals |
Electrical Fitter |
Candidates have maintained power supply system of latest types of aircraft, airborne missiles, and associated ground systems and also maintain photo equipment mounted on airborne weapon systems and operate ground-based photosystems. They will get trained in electrical trade, operation and maintenance of digital devices, electronic devices etc |
Structure Fitter |
Candidates are responsible for the maintenance and servicing of airframes and their accessories, components, and controls of an aircraft. Regular checks for the entire hydraulic and pneumatic system to ensure proper functioning against leaks are also part of their duties. They will also be assigned the responsibility of marshalling, parking, Ticketing and ground handling of aircraft. |
Propulsion Fitter. |
Candidates will repair, maintain and prepare for use propulsion system of aircraft and other airborne weapon delivery system. |
Automobile Fitter |
Candidates are responsible for maintenance and repair of all type of light and heavy-duty mechanical vehicles, cranes and loading equipment etc. |
Mechanical System Fitter |
Candidates will repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems of airborne missiles, engines, automobiles and aircraft fuelling equipment. Complete aircraft ground support equipment will also be repaired and maintained by the candidate. Candidates will be trained in handling and preparation of bombs and explosives, electrical system trade, workshop trade, mechanical trade and automobile mechanics. |
Weapon Fitter |
Candidates will prepare, maintain and service armaments, ammunition and safety equipment of aircraft, missiles, and other weapon delivery systems. Candidate will also operate and maintain small arms and bomb destruction equipment. You will be trained to handle bombs, explosives, arms and their installation on weapon delivery platforms |
