This page further gives you details regarding admission to PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management).
Educational Qualifications: Minimum 50% (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories) in Bachelor’s degree in any stream of duration 3 years or more will be required by the applicants who are preparing to pursue their PGDM from IIM Calcutta.
Institutional Qualification: Institute/University from where candidates have completed their bachelor’s degree should be recognized by UGC or recognition equivalent to Ministry of HRD.

Final Year Students: The candidates who are pursuing their final year of the bachelor’s degree and students whose results for the final semester are awaited can also apply but they have to submit a certificate by their respective institutional head or principal stating that they have undergone their Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% till date and that certificate is to submit to the Institute of Management before June 30, 2017.

IIM Calcutta fees for the PGDM course is to be paid in instalments as per the guidelines of IIM Calcutta. The annual Course fees for the IIM-C (IIM Calcutta) will be averaged Rs 9, 30,000 that is excluding the transportation, Hostel, Mess and Laundry. PGDM from IIM Calcutta will cost about 19 Lacs.
The candidates have to go through the shortlisting process to reach the final selections. Initially, candidates those who have given CAT Exam will be screened according to their minimum CAT Exam score as given in the table:

Applicants will be shortlisted for the PI round (Personal Interview) on the basis of their composite scores of CAT percentile and Class 10-12 Scores as shown in the above. Section wise cut-off of the CAT 2017 might be higher than the given above cut-off.
STAGE 1: Stage 1 shortlisting will be done on the basis of the composite of CAT and Class 10-12 Scores.
STAGE 2: Candidates shortlisted in round 1 will be facing the PI (Personal Interview) round after being shortlisted in stage 1.
The candidates must note that only managerial work experience after graduation will be considered.
The final selection list will be based on merit in each category; minimum qualification on the above-mentioned criteria would not automatically qualify the candidate for admission into IIM Calcutta.
Students of IIM Calcutta are offered many scholarships on the basis of their performances and the academic merit.Many of the scholarships are sponsored by institutes and other organisations. There are a number of prizes/awards sponsored by the Institute and various organizations for awarding to meritorious students on the basis of their first and second year results. Some prizes are also awarded to students at the Annual Convocation for certain outstanding extracurricular activities on the recommendation of the Institute’s Students’ Council.
