UPESDAT 2018- UPES Design Aptitude Test

UPESDAT 2018 also known as UPES Design Aptitude Test is the entrance examination conducted by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) for admissions to four-year undergraduate Design programmes i.e. Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) program. Eligible candidates can apply for UPESDAT 2018 through the official website of UPES by online or offline mode. The online application process for UPESDAT 2018 is now started and the last date to apply is 3 April 2018. UPESDAT 2018 is a computer-based test.

About UPES 2018 - School of Design

School of Design is the 1st design school in North India offering UG and PG courses in the domains of Transportation, Product, Industrial and Interaction design. The UPES campus is located in the sylvan surroundings of the Pondha valley at the foothills of the Himalayas in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. 

Latest Update - UPESDAT Exam Dates has been announced by UPES. The UPESDAT 2018  will be conducted from 11 to 14 April 2018.

UPESDAT 2018 Dates

The Eligibility Criteria required for admission in B. Design program through UPESDAT 2018 are provided below in details:

Candidates will be offered admission in Bachelor of Design (B. Des.). on the basis of UPESDAT 2018 which is an Online Design Test followed by Interviews and Presentation of Portfolio as well as on the basis of valid and qualified JEE MAIN/ UCEED scores. Candidate will be required to appear for interview followed by presentation of portfolio UCEED 2018 and Board Merit

There are two pathways to apply for UPESDAT 2018 B.Design program. Candidates are required to look for the suitable criteria and apply for the program accordingly.

Exam Pathway(up to 80% Seat distribution) -Through UPESDAT

• Candidates must have scored at least 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (Class 10 and Class 12)
• Candidates must have scored at least 50% aggregate in PCM/B at Senior Secondary Level (Class 12)

Non-Exam Pathway (up to 20% Seat distribution) - Through Board Merit / UCEED 2018 Merit

• Board Merit: Candidates must have scored at least 65% marks at Class 10 and Class 12 level.
  • Candidates must have got minimum 65% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology in Class 12

• JEE Mains/UCEED Merit: Candidates must have scored at least 50% marks at Class 10 and Class 12 level.

Eligible candidates can get the UPESDAT Application Form 2018. The application form is now available on the official website of UPES. UPESDAT 2018 Application form can be filled by any of the two modes i.e. online and offline modes. The candidates filling offline/online UPESDAT 2018 application form can apply by any of the methods according to their ease given below:

Offline Mode

The candidates who are applying for UPESDAT 2018 through an offline mode can apply for the application form by the method given below:

By Cash: Candidates can obtain Admission Form from admission counters at Ahmedabad / Chandigarh/ Cochin / Coimbatore / Delhi / Dehradun / Hyderabad / Kolkata / Mumbai by paying the required application fee or they can get it from AXIS BANK branches. 

Online Mode

The steps to fill an online application form for UPESDAT 2018 is given below. Candidates are required to follow the steps to fill the application form.

• Step 1: The candidates need to click on the link Indian Resident or Foreign Resident
• Step 2:  Candidates have to sign up to fill the online form
• Step 3: After signing up, the candidates will get the verification link in their registered email id. Candidates need to click on the link.
• Step 4: After verification, the candidates will need to fill the application form and follow the instructions given therein.
• Step 5: Submit the application and make the payment of the Application form through the following method given below:
  • Online mode: Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking
  • Demand Draft  mode: Demand Draft has to be drawn in favour of "UPES Fee Account", payable at New Delhi / Dehradun

Application Submission

The candidates who are applying for UPESDAT 2018 online are advised to keep at least two copy of application form with them for future reference. The candidates are advised to check the duly filled application form before submission as the application form with the incorrect details will not be entertained.

In case of non-availability of Credit / Debit Card, Candidates can submit their online application form through a demand draft in favour of "UPES Fee Account", payable at New Delhi / Dehradun along with a request letter and a printout of application form at:

UPESDAT 2018 Admit Card

 The UPESDAT 2018 Admit Card will be uploaded on the official website of UPES website on the basis of information in the Application form.  Candidates are required to download the admit card accordingly. 

The candidates need to affix the duly attested photograph on the admit card in the space provided which have to be shown at the allotted test centre.  Candidates without the admit card or card without the photograph will NOT be permitted to take the test.

UPES 2018 B.Design Course Fee

UPES 2018 Offers B.Design Course through under aegis of School of Design Studies. The table given below shows the semester wise B.Design Course Fee Structure.

Candidates can get admission in B. Des. in UPES either on the basis of marks scored in UPESDAT 2018 or UCEED 2018 for Class 12 Merit.

• UPESDAT Result will be announced by UPES tentatively in one or two days after the Written test has been conducted
• Thereafter, the candidates selected will have to appear for Interviews and Presentation of Portfolio in New Delhi, Dehradun (Complete venue details will be shared shortly)
• UPESDAT Merit List will be prepared on the basis of UPESDAT score and Interviews and Presentation of Portfolio.
•  Personal Interview and presentation on the work portfolio is applicable to all the ways by which the candidates seek admission
