Indian Army Technical Recruitment (TGC 128) - This is the Indian Army Recruitment for Jan 2019 Batch for Technical Graduate Course (TGC). The Indian army registration for TGC 128 has started on 17 April. This Indian army recruitment is open to Married/ Unmarried Indian Male Engineering Graduates for grant of Permanent Commission in Indian Army. TGC 128 Indian Army Recruitment coursewill commence from Jan 2019 and the training will be held at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. on successful completion of training, the candidates will be offered the rank of Lieutenant. The entire cost of training will be borne by the government of India. For TGC 2018 there are 40 vacancies. The training at IMA Dehradun is for 1 year.

Indian Army TGC 128 Recruitment online application begins
The merit list for this is based on the marks obtained by candidates in SSB Interview. Higher Education Qualification Marks, NCC Background, Previous performances will not be taken into account while making the merit list. The SSB is a 2 stage process and will go on for 5 days. The candidates who are rejected in the SSB stage 1 will not move to stage 2.

Nationality: A candidate can be a citizen of either of the following:
Candidate must be unmarried male
A citizen of India
A subject of Bhutan
A subject of Nepal
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Age: 20 to 27 years as on 1 Jan 2019 (Candidates born between 2 January 1992 and 1 January 1999)
Educational Qualifications
Candidates who have cleared the requisite Engineering Degree course or in appearing in the final year are eligible to apply.
Candidates appearing in the final year of Engg. Degree Course must submit the proof of passing by 1 January 2019 and have to produce the certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at IMS
Candidates must note that for induction to Pre Commission Training Academy, after final selection, the minimum educational qualification is passing BE/B.Tech degree. Candidates studying in final year of engineering must complete all the formalities.
Physical Standards
Height and Weight: The minimum acceptable height and weight for men are 157.5 cms with correlated weight. In a case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms. in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms.

Indian Army Technical Recruiment Application form and Admit Card
The application process for Technical Graduate Course (TGC) commencing in Jan 2019 has begun from 17 April 2018. Candidates have to fill & submit the application form on or before 16 May 2018. Candidates should check the filled TGC Application Form before final submission and take the printout of it for future reference. STEP 1: The candidates have to follow the given link in order to fill the online application form for TGC.
STEP 2: The candidates need to click on the Officer Entry Login and Click on Registration.
STEP 3: After registering themselves successfully, the candidates are required to fill the form by providing personal, educational and other details.
STEP 4: At last, the candidates are needed to submit the TGC Application Form and should note down their Registration number for future reference.
Application Submission
The candidates must click on "Submit Now" button after filling in all the details correctly on the Application form. After Submitting the application form, the candidates should take the printouts of the PDFs of the duly filled in Application Form.

Short listing of Applications: The applications will be shortlisted by the Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) and to fix a cut-off percentage of marks for each discipline/stream without assigning any reason.

Call Letter for SSB Interview: Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres through candidate’s registered e-mail id and through SMS.
Documents to be carried for SSB Interview
One copy of the Print out of application duly signed and affix photograph self-attested by the candidate. Self-Attested copy of Matriculation certificate or equivalent certificate
Self-Attested copy of Class 12 Class Certificate & Mark sheet.
Self-Attested copy of Engineering Degree/Provisional Degree
Self-Attested copy of Mark sheets of all Semesters.
Certificate from the Principal/Head of the Institution stating that the candidate is in final year and final exams will be over by 01 July 2018 for final year appearing candidates.
All certificates in original. Originals will be returned after verification at the Service Selection Board itself.
Travelling Allowance: Candidates appearing for the SSB Interview for the First time are entitled to AC-III Tier to and fro Railway Fare and Bus Fare.
What will happen at SSB Interview?
Candidates will put through a two-stage selection procedure.
Those who clear Stage 1 will go to Stage 2.
Those who fail in Stage 1 will be returned on the same day.
Duration of SSB interviews is five days excluding day of arrival.
Medical Examinations: A candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will undergo a medical examination by Board of Service Medical Officers. Only those candidates will be admitted to the academy who are declared fit by the Medical Board.

It is to be noted that mere qualifying at the SSB interview does not confirm final selection.
Merit List will be prepared stream-wise and subject wise on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate at SSB Interview
For the candidates whose name appears in the Merit List and who come within specified stream-wise vacancies and are declared medically Fit are issued Joining Letter for Pre-Commissioning Training at IMA.

TGC Indian Army Recruitment 2019 - Types of Commission
Grant of Commission: Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission on probation in the rank of Lt from the date of commencement of the course or the date of reporting at IMA, whichever is later.
Candidates will be entitled to full pay and allowances admissible to Lt during the training period.
Pay & allowances will be paid after successful completion of training.
Permanent Commission: On successful completion of training cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.
Ante Date Seniority: One-year antedate seniority from the date of the commission will be granted to Engineering Graduates of TGC Entry.
TGC Indian Army Pay and Promotion
Pay: The candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 56,100 p.m.
Military Service Pay (MSP): MSP to the officers from the rank of Lt. to Brig Rs. 15,500 p.m.
Promotions: On completion of training they will be commissioned in the rank of Lt and entitled to pay as admissible to the rank.
The promotion from Lieutenant to Lieutenant Colonel is on time scale basis and thereafter on selection basis subject to fulfillment of requisite service conditions.
