LPU NEST 2018 - Lovely Professional University Admission

LPU NEST (National Eligibility and Scholarship Test) is conducted by Lovely Professional University every year for students appearing in Class 12. The counselling dates of LPU B.Tech has been released. Currently, LPU NEST exam for the first schedule of July of the third phase is being conducted from 5 to 15 July 2018. B.tech admissions in Lovely Professional University are done in 2 Phases. LPU NEST is a computer-based test for admission to B.Tech which is conducted in many slots, the exam for phase 2 was conducted from 20 to 31 May 2018.  The candidates registering for the admission into LPU should apply for the same on or before the due date.  This page gives the information about the LPU NEST comprising the details about the eligibility requirements, application process, selection process etc.

Engineering entrance exam also makes the students eligible for admission to B.Tech (H), Integrated B.Tech - M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech - MBA. The Entrance Exam will have a two-fold advantage as it will act as Eligibility Test as well as Scholarship Test.

LPU NEST 2018 B.Tech Programmes

• B.Tech - 4 years Programme.
• B.Tech (Hons.) - 4 years Programme.
• Integrated B.Tech-M.Tech - 5 Years Programme.
• Integrated B.Tech-MBA - 5 Years Programme.

Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply

Qualifying Examination: The candidates should have either passed or shall be appearing in Class 12 Board Exams in 2018 either from CBSE, New Delhi or ICSE, New Delhi or State Board or any other Council, Institution, College etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

Academic Qualification for B. Tech/ B.Tech (with Hons)/ Integrated B.Tech - M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech – MBA

• Candidate should have secured 60% aggregate marks in Class 12 or equivalent Examination with Physics, Mathematics and English and valid score in LPUNEST–2018/ JEE (Main).
• For admission to B.Tech Biotechnology / B.Tech - BT (Food Process Engineering) and B.Tech Hons Biotechnology (BT) candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths/ Biology/ Biotech in Class 12 while other things remaining the same.

The application process for the LPU NEST has started and the candidates can apply through an online mode. There are two modes to fill the application form i.e. Manual Application and Online Application with DD. The last date to fill the LPU NEST Application Form for phase 2 was 25 May 2018. LPU B.Tech Fee Structure

All those applicants who ‘Qualify LPUNEST 2018’ eligible for the admissions to LPU and have to pay the given below fees per semester of the programme.

The candidates will be offered seats in their desired B.Tech program offered at LPU only on the basis of their performance in LPU NEST 2018. The admission will be solely done on the basis of marks obtained in LPU NEST 2018. The short-listed candidates will have to get admission through counselling which is conducted by LPU itself.

• The medium of exam: The question paper will be in the English Language.
• Type of the Question: The questions are of multiple choice and objective type.
  
• Negative Marking: There is no Negative Marking
• Duration of exam: 150 minutes
• Total No. of Questions: 110

LPU NEST 2018 Exam Tie Breakup

Ranks will be awarded to the candidates on the basis of their scores in the LPU NEST 2018, therefore, Situation may occur that more than 1 candidates scoring equal scores.

• In the case of two students scoring equal marks in the test, a sum of best two subjects will be considered.
• In case of more students having the same sum of the best two, the one getting single highest in any of the subjects will be considered.

Students who are among top 35% merit students appearing in LPU NEST Exam are considered eligible for the scholarship up to 1.5 Lac per annum i.e up to 7.5 lac in case of 5 years integrated Programme and 6 Lac in case of 4 years for B.Tech. programmes.
