Marine Engineering and Research Institute (MERI) Kolkata, formerly known as the Directorate of Marine Engineering Training (DMET), is India's national institute for the training of marine engineers. It is India's oldest and best known marine engineering college.MERI Kolkata earlier used to conduct its own Entrance Test but now admissions are done on the basis of IMU CET conducted by Indian Maritime University (IMU)

• MERI Kolkata, now known as IMU Kolkata, offers 4 year B.Tech  Maring Engineering. It is a four-year training course and is approved by AICTE.

There is no Application Process for MERI Kolkata. Candidates have to appear in IMU CET 2018 and they will be shortlisted on the basis of the IMU CET 2018 Counselling.
