JIPMER MBBS 2018 was conducted on 3 June for admission to 200 MBBS seats offered by JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal campuses. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research) has started JIPMER counselling 2018 from 9 July. The second round of JIPMER MBBS counselling will begin from 25 July. Aspirants who have registered for first round can also appear for the second round of seat allotment. Along with that, 330 aspirants will be called for JIPMER MBBS counselling round 2. All the eligible candidates who have been allotted seats during JIPMER MBBS seat allotment will be required to report at the allotted campus for document verification and completion of admission process. If there will be any seats left after second round the authority will conduct JIPMER MBBS mop-up round counselling. JIPMER 2018 entrance exam is for admission to MBBS course. JIPMER offers Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and Super Specialty Medical Training through a working hospital (JIPMER Hospital) and offers admission to M.B.B.S., B.Sc., M.Sc., M.D., M.S, Degree Courses in 37 disciplines.

JIPMER MBBS 2018 Admit Card is available to download from 21 May 2018. The candidates who have filled and submitted the application form are able to download the admit card. Admit card will not be dispatched through the post to the candidates, so no correspondence in this regard will be considered.
After downloading the admit card, the candidates are advised to check the details like name of the students, exam centre, exam dates etc. on the printed admit card. Admit Card is an important document to be carried at the exam centre.

Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian National or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
Age: Candidate must have attained an age of 17 years on or before 31 December 2018 (born on or before 1 January 2002).

The application process for JIPMER MBBS on from 7 March 2018. The candidates can apply for JIPMER 2018 through online mode only. There is no offline process of filling up the JIPMER MBBS 2018 Application Form. In order to fill the application form, the candidates have to follow the link given below. The last date to fill the application form is 13 April 2018. Hence, the candidates are suggested to complete and submit the application form on or before the due date.
The application fee for three categories is given below. However, the OPH Category is exempted from paying the application fee. The application fee would be paid only once by the candidates. The application fee can be paid via Credit/ Debit Card or Net Banking.

A separate list of candidates applying under Self Financing Scheme for 5 seats will be drawn from the NRI / OCI applicants. The JIPMER MBBS Result will be declared on or before 20 June 2018. The candidates appeared in the exam would be able to check the result by following the link given below. However, the result will also be displayed on the Notice Board of Academic Section, JIPMER.
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in JIPMER entrance exam. Candidates who secure less than the minimum percentile in JIPMER Entrance will not be selected for Admission. Merit List would be drawn category wise based on minimum percentile as given below:

The first tiebreaker rule has also been altered, this year the tie-breaking will favour the candidates who have lower negative responses.
The exam will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for class 11 & Class 12.Each question will be followed by four answers of which only one is correct / most appropriate.
