Manipal BTech Admission 2020 test conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education is held across various cities for admission to their B.Tech Programmes. Manipal Entrance Test was earlier known as Manipal University Online Entrance Test. Manipal B.Tech entrance test will be held in a computer based mode for admission to the Manipal engineering programmes to three of its Institutes. Engineering aspirants can appear for MET B.Tech 2020 exam 3 times. MET B.Tech applicaiton process is expected to start in the third week of October 2019 and the entrance test will be held on the third week of April 2020.
Manipal Entrance Test or Manipal B.Tech will be conducted across 50 cities (approx.) located in India as well as in Dubai to grant admission to the Manipal University engineering courses. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 board exam with at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biology/ Biotechnology. The application fee for Manipal University can be paid online as well as offline mode. The details about MET B.Tech application Fee Structure is yet to be announced. Candidates must note that the MET B.Tech admission fee includes application fee and the entrance exam fee. Last year, the MET B.Tech application fee was Rs. 600 while the entrance test fee was Rs. 1400 i.e. candidates were required to pay Rs. 2000 while submitting the application form. However, if candidates are applying for the second attempt (who were unable to score at least 50% marks in the first attempt) are required to pay only the entrance exam fee.

The Manipal Entrance Test will be held in around 50 cities across the country. Through the Manipal OTBS, candidates will be able to select the exam city where they want to appear in and the day for the test. It is important for candidates to book their slots as per their convenience. If in case any applicants forget to book the date, then a random date will be allotted to him/her as per the availability. Candidates must note that the MET B.Tech slot booking is first to come first served basis, which means that slots are limited and will get filled as per their capacity. Once the slot for a particular city and a day are full, then no more bookings will be made.
It is necessary for aspirants to become familiar with the MET B.Tech exam pattern 2020 in order to understand the structure of the question paper. As per the MET B.Tech exam pattern, the test will contain 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in English based on 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards/Universities. Each question having four responses labelled as A, B, C and D out of the four responses candidate have to choose the correct and most appropriate answer. To complete the test, candidates will be allotted 2 hours 30 minutes.

The test will be held in a computer based test and the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions only. For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded and one must note that there is no negative marking in Manipal MET 2020.

The candidates who are appearing for MET B.Tech programmes are advised to be familiar with the syllabus of the test. Manipal Academy of Higher Education will be conducting Manipal Entrance Test across various Indian cities. As mentioned earlier, the test will be held in a computer based mode only. While applying for MET 2020 B.Tech admission, candidates are required to select the exam cities where they want to appear for the test. According to the cities selected by the candidates, the exam authority will be allotting the MET BTech Exam Centres.
While selecting the exam centres, candidates are advised to select carefully as per their convenience. Once the MET B.Tech exam city is being allotted, no request for changing the same will be accepted by MAHE. On the day of the test, candidates are advised to reach the MET exam centres as per the allotted date and time along with the necessary documents. Last year, there were MET B.Tech exam centres located in Dubai as well. Also, candidates must note that the MET B.Tech exam centres for the third rounds will be different from that of the first and second rounds.
Within 24 hours after the completion of the MET B.Tech slot booking, the candidates will receive their MET Admit Card for B.Tech. MAHE will release the MET B.Tecg admit card online and a link to access the same will be available on this page. Candidates are advised to download the MET B.Tech hall ticket and check the details thoroughly. In case of any discrepancy in MET admit card for B.Tech 2020, candidates must contact the exam officials and make the necessary corrections.
To download the MET B.Tech admit card 2020, candidates can follow the steps given below -
Admissions to Manipal Academy of Higher Education will be based on the candidate's rank secured in Manipal Entrance Test. On the basis of MET B.Tech result, candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds. MET result for B.Tech will be available online and to check the same, candidates are required to enter their application number and password. Along with the result for MET 2020 B.Tech, the rank list will also be available.
Note: After the conclusion of the entrance test, the final score will be displayed on the test screen.
Selection of Foreign/NRI Category candidates: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
In case of a tie, inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined on the basis of higher marks in the order of preference as under:
The test takers who have successfully qualified in Manipal Entrance Test 2020 for B.Tech admissions will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds. These shortlisted candidates are required to visit the MET B.Tech counselling venue as per the schedule along with the necessary documents. Before visiting the counselling venue, candidates are required to draw a Demand Draft to pay the counselling fee. Only the candidates who have successfully paid the MET B.Tech counselling fee, have submitted the documents will be given an allotment letter and receipt for the fees. In case, if a candidate fails to visit the MET counselling venue as per the schedule or have failed to submit the documents or fees, then the candidate with the next immediate rank will be eligible to take his place.
There are three institutes that will be accepting MET B.Tech scores. Candidates must note that to apply for these MET B.Tech colleges, candidates are not required to apply separately. Based on the Manipal Entrance Test result 2020, these institutes will be shortlisting candidates for the pre-admission rounds.
