UPTU Colleges - UPSEE exam result has been declared. The result is for admission in UPTU / AKTU colleges. UPSEE 2020 was conducted on 20 September.  The counselling will begin on 19 October. There are a total of 598 colleges affiliated to the university. The AKTU affiliated colleges are spread all over the state. Although, the density of the colleges is high in major cities like Agra, Allahabad, Bareilly, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mathura, Meerut, Varanasi. The AKTU colleges are segregated into Government Colleges, Private Colleges & Self-financing Colleges. The government of Uttar Pradesh has given autonomous status to IET Lucknow, KNIT Sultanpur and BIET Jhansi so that they can be developed as a centre of excellence. However, the following colleges will fall into the constituent colleges of the University

Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) now known as (Abdul Kalam Technical University) AKTU is a public university which has been established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. According to the university's website, it is the biggest technical university in Asia and one of the largest technical universities not only in India but perhaps in Asia.

UPTU Colleges (AKTU Colleges)

UPSEE exam is for admission into various UG and PG courses and on this page, we have given the list of B.Tech, B.Pharma and Hotel Management colleges in AKTU that will offer admission based on UPSEE Result.

As per the AKTU annual report till last year, there were around 302 institutions running B. Tech courses. List of colleges for the year 2020 will be released at the time of counselling. 

UPTU Colleges  - Course wise Intake

Total of 1,54,281 seats were available in the colleges affiliated to the University for the admission to BTech/ B.Pharm/ BFA/ BFAD/ BHMCT/ B.Arch/ MBA/ MCA programme for the academic session 2017-18. Total of 6,868 seats was available in PG programmes admission to the first year of MTech/ MPharm/ MArch programme for the year 2017-18.

The seat intake given here is for the year 2016-17. The details about this year will be available at the time of counselling.

AKTU Top Colleges

One should always keep in mind the following points while choosing a college amongst the Top Engineering Colleges.

• Rank of the college in India.
• Placement details of the college and especially for the branch you are opting.
• Branches available and how can you get there.
• Department wise faculty of the college is good enough or not.
• Details of research lab and facilities available if you are interested in research.
• Geographically Remote to your hometown.
• Accreditation of college.
• Personality development and scope of extra curriculum activities.

HBTI is not on the list of AKTU colleges now. It has been converted to Harcourt Butler Technological University (HBTU) from HBTI. To get admission in HBTU candidates need to appear in JEE Main. Candidates will be allotted seats in HBTU on the basis of their JEE Main rank. MMM Gorakhpur has also been converted to University and called as MMMUT. It now conducts its own entrance exam, there is a small update that from this year 30% seats will be filled through JEE Mains.

150 UPTU Colleges finds no admission

Over 150 colleges in AKTU earlier known as UPTU did not even get a single admission.1.36 lakh students had appeared in UP state entrance exam and only 50,000 turned for final admission.  And out of the 50K students only 29,945 students took admission in various colleges. One of the official reported that more than 100 colleges did not even find a single applicant (Source: Times of India).

AKTU Counselling Schedule

UPSEE 2020 is the state entrance exam conducted by AKTU for admissions to professional undergraduate engineering courses. AKTU may open admission for other states students from academic session.
