JEE Advanced 2018 Analysis by Resonance
As JEE Advanced Paper 1 and 2 was concluded on 20 May, the experts of Resonance has published the JEE Advanced analysis. Candidates can check the JEE Advanced analysis for Paper 1 and 2 below. This paper analysis includes the distribution of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. JEE Advanced Analysis by Resonance – Paper 1
- JEE Advanced Paper 1 was held from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon, while paper 2 was conducted from 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm
- A total of 54 questions were asked. 18 questions were asked from each subject
- Both paper 1 and 2 were of 180 marks. Overall each subject was of 120 marks
- Total marks for both papers were 360

JEE Advanced Difficulty Level Analysis - Highlights
- In Paper 1, Physics and Mathematics were easy compared to Chemistry
- In Paper 2, Mathematics and Physics paper was moderately easy, while Chemistry was considered difficult
- Overall, Resonance experts feels that the paper was relatively tougher than the previous year
- Chemistry was considered most difficult, Mathematics was considered moderate overall, while Physics was relatively easier than the other two subjects

Latest Update: JEE Advanced Analysis 2018 Paper 1 and 2
Paper 1 of JEE Advanced 2018 has been conducted from 09:00 to 12:00 noon. JEE Advanced paper 2 has been over now. Given below is the JEE Advanced analysis by the students who appeared in the exam and other institutes as well.
- This year, the total marks of JEE Advanced Paper 1 and 2 have reduced from 183 to 180
- Thus, JEE Advanced was of 360 marks
- Equal weightage was given to class 11 and 12
- The paper was conducted in computer-based mode, therefore, neither printout of question paper nor the copy of response sheet was given to candidates
- Paper 1 was moderate, Physics was the toughest section of all three subjects
- Students found Paper 2 moderate. Mathematics section was the difficult one
- In comparison to Paper 1, JEE Advanced Paper 2 was relatively tough
JEE Advanced Analysis Paper 1
- Overall Paper 1 was moderate this year
- Section 1 of all the three subjects contained 6 questions
- Section 2 had 8 questions being the numerical value answers. For each question, the commercial value was to be rounded off to second decimal place (eg. 6.25, 7.00, -127.30)
- Section 3 had 2 paragraphs and each question had 4 options of which only one op[tion was correct
- Total maximum marks for paper 1 was 180
- Each Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics was of 60 marks and Section 1 and 2 in each subject was of 24 marks, respectively, while section 3 was of 12 mark
JEE Advanced Analysis Paper 2
- Overall Paper 2 was moderate for aspirants but in comparison to paper 1 it was difficult
- Section 1 had 6 questions with four options, of which one or more answers can be correct
- Section 2 consisting of 8 questions with correct response being the numerical value to be rounded off to be the second decimal place (eg. 6.25, -275.30)
- Section 3 has 4 questions. Each question had two matching list -I and list -II, only one of the four options was correct to correspond to the correct matching
