Applicants who have been availing the benefits of INSPIRE Scholarship will have to get it renewed to continue the scholarship scheme. Eligibility for the Renewal or Continuation of Inspire Scholarship
- For continuation of INSPIRE Scholarship, the Scholar shall pass in all subjects and secure minimum 60% aggregate marks or 7.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale or its equivalent in his/her annual examinations in B.Sc/B.S./Int.M.Sc/Int.M.S or M.Sc examination.
- The maximum tenure of INSPIRE Scholarship is five years. Except for Integrated MSc or Integrated MS course, the scholarship shall continue at PG level only after successful completion of 3 years BSc or 4 years BS course, for another two years or one year, depending upon the course pursued at the UG level.
Not Eligible for INSPIRE Scholarship (If students Fail)
If a Scholar fails, or could not attend the annual/ any of the semester examination(s) in that year, the INSPIRE Scholarship for the next academic year will not be paid.

Latest Notification for Inspire Scholarship Renewal (28 March)
A notification has been released by DST regarding the renewal of the scholarship on 28 March 2018 which states that the candidate should secure minimum 60% or 7 GPA out of 10 for the continuation of the scholarship. This condition will be applicable from the academic year 2018-19 which will start in June/July 2018 onwards. All the scholars should make sure that they fulfil the condition laid to get their scholarship on time.
This condition is applicable to all the old scholars and to the fresh scholars.
The scholars are requested to upload grading to percentage conversion factor/formula along with the self-attested mark sheet. If the formula is not uploaded by the scholars then automatically the CGPA will be evaluated on a 10 point scale.
