On 25 November 2018, IIM Calcutta will conduct CAT 2018 in a computer-based mode for admission to the 20 IIMs and various other management institutes. CAT notification has been released on 29 July while CAT registration has started on 8 August 2018. Management aspirants must make sure that they fulfil the CAT eligibility criteria before they start filling the CAT application form. Also, before commencing with CAT 2018 registration, candidates are advised to collect the necessary CAT registration documents and details.
More than 4000 seats will be offered by these 20 Indian Institutes of Management on the basis of CAT score 2018. CAT registration form will be available online and candidates must make sure that they register successfully to access the application form. While filling CAT 2018 application form, candidates must make sure that they enter all the details carefully. Also, while uploading the scanned documents, applicants must make sure that they are as per the required specifications. CAT Registration 2018 Documents List
Before candidates start filling the CAT application form, they must make sure that they keep the following details and documents ready –
- Email Address – Which must be maintained until the conclusion of the admission process
- Mobile Number – The number must remain active till the admission process ends
- Mark Sheets – Class 10, 12, Graduation and other qualification
- List of IIMs – The list of IIMs where they want to apply
- Scanned Images – The scanned images of the candidate’s passport-size photograph, signature and category certificate (if applicable)
- Banking Details – For payment of CAT application fees, candidates are required to keep their banking details ready

CAT 2018 Registration
The application process of CAT 2018 can be divided into the following steps –
- Step 1: CAT Registration 2018 – Before candidates start with the application process, they must register for the CAT 2018. Only through CAT registration, candidates will get their User ID and password.
- Step 2: CAT Application Form 2018 – With the provided CAT user ID and password, candidates are required to access the application form and fill the same. While filling the CAT application form 2018, candidates must make sure that they provide all the details are true. In case of any error in the entered details will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Step 3: CAT Exam Documents uploading – As mentioned above, candidates must make sure that they keep the scanned copies of their passport size photographs and signatures. Before uploading these scanned documents, candidates must make sure that they meet the required specifications.
- Step 4: CAT Application Fee – To conclude the CAT application process, candidates are required to pay the application fee. Candidates must note that CAT registration fee can be paid via online mode only i.e. through credit card, debit card or net banking. With the category of candidates, the application fee of CAT will vary.

About CAT 2018
This year, CAT 2018 is scheduled to be held on 25 November 2018 in a computer-based mode. Every year, CAT is being held by one of the IIMs for admission to their management programmes. Also, various other management institutes will be accepting the CAT score. The test will contain a total of 100 questions i.e. both MCQs and non-MCQs and the total marks will be 300. For every correct answer, three marks will be added while 1 mark will be deducted for wrong answers. However, there is no negative marking in the non-MCQs. For more details on CAT 2018, click here.
