Wild Wisdom Quiz Contest 2019 for Junior & Middle School Students

Wild Wisdom Quiz Contest 2019 registration process has started. The Wild Wisdom Quiz is an attempt, to provide a unique opportunity for students to delve deeper into India’s fantastic wildlife, gain knowledge and take pride in its natural diversity. This initiative aims to instil a sense of concern for the natural world and inspire our students to demonstrate their interest in conservation. Wild Wisdom Quiz 2019 is the 12th edition of the competition and is organised by the WWF-India in association with the Ministry of Forests & Climate Change and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This quiz was initiated in 2008 and is the only National Wildlife Quiz Competiton in India.

• CBSE will consider Wild Wisdom Quiz 2019 as a part of its Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) activity. 
• CCE is a kind of activity in a particular area which follows the system of educating the children of all abilities, through a continuous procedure.
• In 2018, the wild wisdom quiz final round was hosted by Mr Siddharta Basu, and there were total 59,402 registrations for the quiz.

Wild Wisdom Quiz Topics

Topics that would be asked at various levels

School Level

Wild Wisdom Quiz Contest 2019 Categories

School students up to class 12 can take part in this contest depending upon the category

• Each of the categories comprises multiple levels and to reach the final level; the students have to qualify the preceding level.
• Earlier the quiz contest was only for the middle school students, but from 2014 the contest has opened for Junior & High School students as well.
• The National Finals for the middle school will be held on 19 November 2019

Wild Wisdom City Level Round Dates & Venue

City Level Winners of Middle School Category will participate in National Level Quiz Contest to be held on 19 November 2019. The winners of this quiz competition will get exciting prizes. The prize distribution is mentioned below:

Prize for School Level Winners

• Candidates will get the "Participation Certificate" and Free access to 6 online Enewsletter- Wild Wisdom Nuggets preseries.

Prize for City Level Winners

• Candidates will get the certificates and Top 5 winning teams get WWF-India's Panda Trophies, Medals, Brittanica books, Penguin books plus exciting prizes

Prize for National Level Winner

• Top 5 winning teams get WWF-India's Panda Trophies, Medals, Brittanica books, Penguin books plus exciting prizes.
• Top 3 teams get sponsored a trip to Camp hornbill in Ramnagar, Uttrakhand.

For Wild Wisdom Quiz 2019 the applications will only be accepted through the respective school of the student. Individual applications by Individual students cannot be made.

• The school has to confirm the participation of students through online registration.
• There is a registration fee of Rs. 100 per student which can be paid by school either through Demand Draft in favour of "World Wide Fund for Nature- India" payable at New Delhi. The DD has to be sent to the following address:

Participating Students will receive a set of written questions with a choice of answers. Participants will be selected based on the maximum scores attained at the levels in the Junior Schools Quiz and Middle School Quiz, as per the Quiz Module. 

Wild Wisdom Quiz Venue and City Details

• Top 2 scorers of the participating schools in the middle school category will be eligible for National level Wild Wisdom Contest 2019. 

• For Junior Level category the competition will conclude at the city level.

For Middle School

• The top 30 scoring schools at the city level from 30 cities will qualify for the NATIONAL LEVEL and will compete for the Wild Wisdom Quiz 2019 as well.
