Uttarakhand State Level Ganga Quiz 2018 - Result

Uttarakhand State Level Ganga Quiz is organized by National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Water Recourses, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Govt. of India and State Programme Management Group (SPMG) - Namami Gange, Govt. of Uttarakhand. The students of Class 6 to 8 are eligible to participate as Junior Team and the students of Class 9 to 12 can participate as Senior Team. Each team should consist of 3 students. The participation is possible only through school and there is no individual participation.

The preliminary round for Ganga Quiz is scheduled to be held on 9 September 2018 at District Level. The Final round for Ganga Quiz is scheduled to be held on 16 September 2018 at Doon University. The selected participants will have to face the final round for the Uttarakhand State Level Ganga Quiz 2018 which is scheduled to be conducted on 16 September 2018.

The Ganga Quiz Registration form is available from 20 August 2018 to 4 September at following places

Submission of Registration Form

The Ganga Quiz Registration form should be duly filled in all respects and can be submitted at:

• At IDBI Bank Branch -  Any branch of IDBI Bank in Uttarakhand. (Receipt will be issued by the branch)
• At Swajal Project Office - District Project Management Unit (DPMU), Swajal Project Office located in District Head Quarter. (Receipt will be issued by concerned office)
• Via Email - Scanned copy/ clear photo of duly filled up registration form can be sent via E-mail at gangaquiz.spmguk@gmail.com (Confirmatory message for receipt of the form shall be sent through E-mail/ Whatsapp).
• Through Whatsapp - Submission is also allowed through Whatsapp on mobile No. 7055001743. 

For Email and Whatsapp Registration- In this case of registration form sent via E-mail or Whatsapp, the Original Registration Form must be deposited by the participant at the Venue of Preliminary round prior to appearing in the quiz

The last date for the submission of Registration Form is 4 September 2018, till 5.00 PM.

On the day of Ganga Quiz

Each team will be given admit card on 9 September at the venue itself and they have to report at  7 a.m. on 13 September. It will be a written quiz round and The written Question Paper of Preliminary Round shall be both in Hindi & English. The Questions in the Ganga Quiz contest will be on Uttarakhand on the given topics. After the Quiz is complete the teams have to submit their answer scripts

Marking scheme: 3 marks for every correct answer and negative one mark for the wrong answer

Selection for Final Round - Top 8 teams scoring highest marks in each category will be selected for Final Round. All girls teams will be given 2 marks extra in the preliminary round.

State Level Ganga Quiz Result 2018

The Ganga Quiz result of Preliminary Round will be intimated via Print/ Electronic Media & Telephonically to the winning teams by 13 September 2018. Total 8 Teams in each Category i.e. Junior and Senior qualifying for Final Round of the Quiz shall be reimbursed boarding, lodging & travelling cost @ Rs. 4000 per team or as per actual cost incurred, whichever is less.

The Final Round shall be in the form of Oral and Audio Visual Quiz in front of the dignitaries and special invitees. There will be live telecast of the Final Round of the Quiz Competition.  The prize money, Mementos and Merit Certificates will be awarded to the Winning Teams after the conclusion of Uttarakhand State Level Ganga Quiz in a State level function at Dehradun by the Hon’ble Dignitaries on 16 September 2018 at 4.00 pm.
