About Republic Day Stamp Design Competition
Republic Day 2016 - Stamp Design Competition is conducted by The Department of Post, India at the National level. The theme of the Republic Day Stamp Design Competition is "Ahimsa Parmo Dharma", and the competition is open to any citizen of India of any age group. Entries sent must be the original work of the participant based on the theme of competition, and further, the prize-winning designs will be considered for use on stamps and other philatelic material. The design made for Stamp Design Competition could be in ink, water colour, oil colour or any other medium.
The participants need to know that the computer printed/ printout design will not be considered for the Republic Day Stamp Design Competition. The design submitted should be such that can be depicted on the stamps in a visually appealing manner to be of interest to philatelic collectors.

Republic Day Stamp Design Competition Reward
The prize-winning designs will be considered for use on stamps and other philatelic material which is the collection and study of postage stamps. The rewards for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners will be distributed as per the positions of the winner which is given below
- First Prize: Rs.10,000
- Second Prize: Rs.6,000
- Third Prize: Rs.4,000
Republic Day Stamp Design Competition Application form and Process
Participants have to create their entries based on the competition theme i.e 'Nature India’ and send the entries without being folded through Speed Post. The candidates need to use drawing paper, art paper or any other type of white paper of A4 size. The candidates need to mention the following details on the back side of the drawing paper.
- Name of the Participant
- Age
- Nationality
- Complete Residential Adress with pin code
- Phone/ Mobile no.
- E-mail Id (if available)
- An undertaking stating that ‘‘The artwork submitted is original and no copyright issues are involved’ should be sent along with the entry. In case of any legal dispute related to copyright issue, Department of Posts will not be liable for the same.'
Important points for creating the stamp design for the competition:
- The design could be in ink, watercolour, oil colour or any other medium

Participants need to check the details filled by them before the final submission. Entries should be sent only in A4 size envelope. Republic Day Stamp Design Competition Selection Process
Republic Day 2016 Stamp Design Result has been and the name of the top three winners has been declared by The Department of Post. The entries received has been selected by the organisers and the decision of the organisers will be final for selecting the top 3 winners.
