SRISTI-BIRAC GYTI Awards 2017

SRISTI-BIRAC GYTI Awards 2017 will be awarded at the Festival of Innovations at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The candidates from school level to doctoral level and grass-root innovators can apply for SRISTI-BIRAC GYTI Awards 2017. The competition is organised in New Delhi to discover cost-effective innovations in the field of medicine and biotechnology, the last date to apply for SRISTI-BIRAC GYTI Awards is December 30, 2016.

The competition is organised by Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) in partnership with SRISTI with the aim to promote frugal innovations in the field of medicine and biotechnology. 

The objective of SRISTI-BIRAC GYTI Awards is to inculcate the sense of entrepreneurship among the young students who can be motivated to take their innovations to the commercial level.

• Fifteen candidates will be awarded by the price money of rupees 15 lakhs each at the Festival of Innovations at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
• In addition to this, 100 grass-root innovators can get the price money of rupees one lakh each for providing cost-effective and innovative solutions to medicine and biotechnology problems. 

Important Dates of SRISTI-BIRAC GYTI Awards 2017

For this competition, BIRAC has collaborated with Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions (SRISTI), a non-profit organisation, for promoting grass root level innovations at the University/College level among the students.

The winners will be awarded at the Festival of Innovations at Rashtrapati Bhavan in March 2017.

• Fifteen candidates will be awarded by the price money of Rs. 15 Lakhs each.
• 100 grass-root innovators will get one lakh rupees each for value addition at different labs.
• The award distribution shall be made through NEFT/ RTGS.
