SRFP 2020 - Summer Research Fellowship Program by JNCASR

SRFP 2020 (Summer Research Fellowship Program) is supported by Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) to offer summer fellowships for two months to the bright undergraduate and MSc students studying in India. The SRFP programme is also open to teachers. Candidates can fill online SRFP online application form by 30 November 2019. Selected candidates have to indicate their acceptance within 15 days or else the offer will stand cancelled and will go to the next person on the waiting list. The selected candidate should work with the assigned guide for two months at any time during the calendar year, preferably during the summer.

SRFP 2020 Selected Students List Announced

The SRFP selected students list for all three academies has been released. The selection list includes the names of the students and teachers who have been selected for the SRFP 2020 Programme.

The SRFP 2020 Selection List will be compiled on the following basis

The students are also offered a reward to the candidates get selected for the Summer Research Fellowship Programme. The students selected for this programme will be placed with a scientist. They will be provided with the following as per the centre's norms

• The stipend of Rs.6000 per month for two continuous months

SRFP 2020 Application Form

Candidates have to fill the application form to apply for the SRFP (Summer Research Fellowship Program). The application process for the SRFP has been started, and the candidates willing to apply for this programme have to fill the form on or before the due date. The last date for filling online form is 30 November 2019. The candidates who have already applied and completed this programme earlier are not needed to apply.

SRFP 2020 Write Up 

The applicant should include a write-up (in about 150–250 words) as to the specific area of the applicant and indicate what he/she would like to learn and achieve through this fellowship. It can also include the specific experiment or theory that the applicant wants to work on but NOT a general description of the area. The write-up should be original.

Documents to be uploaded with the SRFP 2020 Online Application Form

Scanned copies of mark sheets in JPG format (not exceeding 700KB for each) must be uploaded just after submission of the application online.

SRFP 2020 Recommendation Letter

Student applicants must upload the contact details of one of their present teachers or the Head of the Department (HoD). The Academy will get in touch with the teacher and obtain the recommendation letter.

Submission of Online Application Form

The candidates have to fil the online SRFP 2020 application form but need not send that to the official body. The candidate must ensure that they keep the hard copy of the filled in the application form with them for future reference.

Acceptance of SRFP 2020 offer within 15 days 

• Selected candidates have to indicate their acceptance within 15 days or else the offer will stand cancelled and will go to the next person on the waiting list.
• If the candidate accepts the offer initially and then fails to join the programme, he/she denies the waitlisted candidate an opportunity to avail the fellowship.
• The candidate cannot accept more than one offer at the same time.
• Selected candidates will undertake to work at the institution they are placed for a minimum uninterrupted period of 2 months.
• SRFP Certificates will be issued only to candidates who complete a mandatory training period of 2 months.
