About OFID Scholarship
OPEC OFID Scholarship Award is sponsored by OPEC provides a Masters scholarship to applicants from developing countries (except OFID member countries) to pursue Master Degree program for the year 2018-2019. Only students who have received an offer letter from the University can apply for this scholarship programme. The OPEC OFID Scholarship Award covers up to one year of Master's level studies or equivalent. Interested candidates have to fill and submit their online application form for OFID Scholarship on or before 4 May 2018.

OFID Scholarship Reward
OPEC OFID Scholarship Winner will receive the following awards:
- The winners of the OFID will receive a scholarship of up to US$50,000.
- The funds would be spread over a maximum of one year.
- OFID will also pay for travel costs of winner from the country of origin to the institution in which they are selected.
- Upon course completion, the candidate will be paid for one way air ticket to his/her home country.
Disbursement of OFID Scholarship
- The tuition fee along with supplementary examination fee if any will be transferred to the academic institution availed by the student/winner.
- Health insurance will be paid as per the standard medical scheme of the institution.
- A monthly Allowance to cover living expenses, books, and accommodation, will be transferred to the student’s own personal bank account.
OFID Scholarship Application form and Process
The application process of OPEC OFID Scholarship 2018 will be conducted through the online mode. Candidates have to fill and submit the online application form by 4 May 2018. Steps to fill the OPEC OFID Scholarship Application Form
Step 1: Register on OFID Scholarship Portal
Step 2: Fill the application form
Step 3: Upload the following documents: CV, Two L-0-R’s (Letter-of-Recommendation), Baccalaureate certificate/ transcript, an acceptance letter to PG program, essay.
Submission of Application Form
The OPEC OFID Scholarship 2018 application form can be submitted through the online mode by 4 May 2018. Candidates have to provide all the required information in the application form. They must check details filled in the application form before final submission because any kind of changes won't be allowed after final submission of application form. Candidates also have to take a printout of filled application form for future reference.
Document are required to attach with the application form
- The completed online application form.
- The scanned copy of the candidate's passport.
- The scanned copy of the transcripts/certificates from the highest level of education completed.
- The scanned letter of acceptance from the chosen educational institution, confirming your admission, subject of study and duration of the Master’s degree program.
- A proof of meeting any prerequisites, including language proficiency.
- A short essay – of about 500 words in English – giving reasons for applying for the OFID scholarship, explaining your educational goals, and clearly describing how you will use the experience gained from your Master's degree studies to help in the development of your home country.
- Two letters of recommendation from professors and/or lecturers at applicant's present university (or present employer).
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
