About NFLAT
NFLAT National Financial Literacy Assessment Test is a first national level test conducted by National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE), to measure the level of financial awareness among the students of class VI to X. This test helps the students to obtain basic financial skills and holistic development of each student. NFLAT is for Class VI to X students. The test will assess the knowledge of the students on different financial factors such as Money Saving, Banking, Insurance, Investment etc.
The NFLAT will be conducted in two stages:
- NFLAT Junior 2016-17: Students from 6th to 8th class will be count in this stage.
- NFLAT 2016-17: Students of 9th and 10th class will be count in this stage
The NFLAT test will be conducted in both the mode i.e. Online (in school) and Offline (Pen and Paper) across the country in both the language English and Hindi. The last date to apply for the NFLAT (Online and Offline) is November 22, 2016.

Details | The candidates from 6th to 10th class are eligible to apply for this test. There are no other special criteria required to apply for NFLAT 2017. |
NFLAT Reward
The National Centre of Financial Education (NCFE), will distribute awards to the schools and the students according to the category of their positions. The awards details for students and schools are given in the table below:

Special Recognition (School and Students) |
All students who have appeared in the second round but failed to advance to the next shall be felicitated with a Certificate and Cash Rewards/Gift vouchers categorised as Certificate of Special Recognition and their respective schools would be felicitated with a Shield. |

NFLAT Application form and Process
The participants are required to fill the application form before the due date and submit their entry. The instructions for filling the application form is given below:
- The registration should be done by the school through online on the official website of NCFE.
- Following to the school registration, details of the students interested in the test need to be added to the school irrespective of the mode of examination being online or offline
- After completion of registration, the school shall be provided with an option to select slot & date of their choice for conducting the test in their premises
- At last, the school needs to submit the entry
Submission of NFLAT Application Form
The School premises should ensure that the details filled in the application form are correct before the submission of application form. Participants should keep the screen shot or the photocopy of application form for future reference.
NFLAT Selection Process
After the first round of offline/online test, NISM/NCFE shall assemble the scores of all the appeared candidates for NFLAT. The study material is available online on the official website of the NCFE India. The participants are advised to get the study material from the website and start preparing and practising from the study material.
Schools from each zone shall be shortlisted on the basis of participation and performance of the respective students (6th to 10th Standard) appearing for the NFLAT and NFLAT Jr. Test. The School or Students who qualifies the round first will undergo for further selection rounds
NFLAT Second Round Selection Process
- The shortlisted school shall nominate 2 students to appear for the next round of competition.
- The nominated students shall be called for the Regional Round Competition in which top 3 schools from each zone (i.e. 15 schools in total) will be declared as regional winners.
- The National Round Competition consists of advanced test and/or debate and/or quiz and/or presentation or combinations would be conducted among all the regional winners and top 3 schools will be declared as national winners.
