NCPCR Short film, Still Photography and Poster Competition 2018 invites entry for the competitions which would be held separately on Short Film, Still photography and the poster designing competition. National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) is a council which is authorised by an Act of Parliament. There is an interesting thing about this competition is that the subject for the competition would be the same and that would be “Promotion and Protection of Child Rights”. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) is inviting the entries for the three competition mentioned below. The individual or organisations who are interested in participating in the competition need to apply through online mode on the official website of NCPCR. There is one subject for each separate competition. The name of the competitions are:
- Short Film Competition 2018
- Still Photography Competition 2018
- Poster Designing Competition 2018

NCPCR Short Film Competition 2018
The NCPCR Short Film Competition aims at recognising the creative endeavours towards development and protection of Child Rights. The film may be in the authorised format. Candidates can check the information from the link given below.
- Theme: The theme of the NCPCR Short Film Competition would be "Child Rights issues." Each entry should accompany brief theme and synopsis of the film in writing.
- Language: The participants need to know that the competition of any Indian language with subtitles in English or in English is accepted for the entry.
- Duration: The duration of the film should not be less than 5 minutes and more than 10 minutes
- Film Type: Animation or Non-animation both are allowed
- Film format: MP4 or AVI format
- Date of shooting: The film should not have been shot before 1 January 2016.
- Title & Credits: Each film should portray its title and credits, including the names of the producer, writer and director
NCPCR Still Photography Competition 2018
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) calls still photographs for its ‘Still Photography Competition’ which aims at recognising the creative efforts towards promotion and protection of Child Rights.
- Theme: The theme of the competition should be protection of children against harm/abuse/exploitation etc. and their participation in policies/issues which involves their interest (for example: Child Labour, Child trafficking, Child Marriage, Child begging, Child Sexual Abuse, Superstitious activities and Black magic involving children, use of children in carrying contraband/drugs etc.)
- Section: The competition will have only one section i.e. colour print
Format: Portrait and landscape formats are considered as a valid format for entries
No of entries: Maximum five numbers of photographs per entry will be allowed
NCPCR Poster Designing Competition 2018
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) calls posters for its ‘Poster Competition’, which aims at recognising the creative efforts towards promotion and protection of Child Rights. Participants have to design the poster and develop a corresponding message focused on themes.
- Theme: Protection of children against harm/abuse/exploitation etc. and which involves their interest. The topics may be from any of the child labour, child trafficking, child marriage, child begging etc.
- Colour Medium: Any colour medium is allowed. For example - sketch pens, crayons, coloured pencils etc.
- Message: The poster must include a message which should not be more than 25 words. It should be either in Hindi or in the English language

NCPCR Competition Reward
The award will be given to the participants only. The NCPCR will give the award money through cheque only in the name of the applicant. The NCPCR will in no way be liable for any dispute which may arise later.
The award money cheque may be issued in the name of a company or a production house only if it is said to be so by the applicant in his application form which is applicable for each category of the competition
NCPCR Short Film Competition
There are three rewards for the short film contest. The following prizes will be awarded for the NCPCR Short Film Competition category
- First prize: Rs. 1,00,000
- Second prize: Rs. 75,000
- Third prize: Rs. 50,000
NCPCR Still Photography Competition
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has decided the three amounts for the rewards that would be according to the rank the participants achieve. The following prizes will be awarded for the NCPCR Still Photography Competition category
- First prize: Rs. 50,000
- Second prize: Rs. 30,000
- Third prize: Rs. 20,000
NCPCR Poster Designing Competition

NCPCR Competition Application form and Process

The participants applying for the NCPCR Short Film Competition will need to download the application form from the link given below and have to fill the application form correctly. The participants are advised to fill the application in a proper format because once the application gets processed, the participants will not be able to do any changes.
Specification of the Short Film story:
- The film could be a documentary, dramatisation of real stories or a work of fiction, in any technical format, including animation.
- The films should be involving the rights of Children to survival, growth and development, their protection against harm/abuse/exploitation, etc.
- The Child begging, Child sexual abuse, Superstitious activities and Black magic involving children, use of children in carrying contraband/drugs, etc.

NCPCR Still Photography Competition - Apply Here
The participants applying for the NCPCR Still Photography Competition have to download the NCPCR Still photography application form from the link given below. The participants are advised to fill the application in a proper format.
The participants are advised to check it twice before the final submission because once the application gets submitted, then the participants will not be able to do any changes. The following things need to mention in the photograph
- Camera used
- Lens- Focal Length
- Aperture
- Shutter Speed
- ISO Setting
The photographers should attach a separate sheet indicating their professional work/experience in not more than 200 words.
Guidelines for sending the Photographs for NCPCR Competition:
- File Size of the Image: Each Image sent should be of 3 - 5 MB size
- Format: Image should be in JPG/JPEG format in which soft images should be completed with the hard copies in the following size:
- Portrait 8” x 10”
- Landscape 12” x 15” size.
- Third Party: Entry should not encroach upon the copyrights, trademarks or any other rational property occupied by a third party.
- No advertising content: Entries should not contain any advertising content that promotes any product or service. Only unpublished pictures would be considered.

The participants applying for the NCPCR Poster Designing Competition will have to download the application form by clicking on the link given below. The participants are advised to fill the required details in every section of the form and check the duly filled application form correctly before the final submission.
Poster specifications for NCPCR Poster Designing Competition:
- A3 size paper of any colour to develop the poster.
- Colour medium – sketch pens, crayons, coloured pencils, etc.
- The poster should be of original design and the self-creation of the participant.
- The participants need to include a message which should not be more than 25 words.
- It should be either in Hindi or in the English language.
- Poster should not have been made before 1 January 2015
Participants have to submit in the following formats:
- PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG
- Maximum file size: 15 MB
- Format: JPEG Poster size (14’’ x 19’’) and (17’’ X 22’’)
- Resolution: 300 dpi
- Colour Mode: RGB or CMYK.
- Up to 10 images can be sent

The participants sending entries for the NCPCR Short Film Contest must need to send duly filled in application form along with the documents should reach the following address:

The participants need to send the entries by post or submit by hand at the NCPCR’s office, and the soft copies by e-mail will also be accepted, but hard copy needs to be sent to NCPCR which must reach by the last date to the address mentioned above.
NCPCR Still Photography and Poster Designing Competition
The participant sending entries for the NCPCR Still Photography and Poster Designing Competiton must submit the entries to E-Mail ID: indra.ncpcr@gov.in; jyoti.ncpcr@gov.in.
After the participant has sent the photographs through an e-mail he/she also needs to send hard copies of images to the address mentioned below:

NCPCR Competition Selection Process
- The Jury will decide the selection of the participants. The participants need to know that the decision of the Jury for the admission would be final and no questions or objections will be considered in any circumstances.
- The NCPCR will have the right to use the selected films for any purpose it considerably fit. The participant must duly sign an undertaking in this regard given in the application form. The Jury will decide the selection of the participants.
- The photographer should send an original file in high resolution to the commission after selection of the images.
Entries that can be rejected for NCPCR Competition
- Invalid Entries: The entries will be treated as an invalid and will not be considered for the competition if not fulfilling the terms and condition
- No commercial content: Entries should not contain any marketing content that promotes any product or service
