National Photography Award aim is to promote Nation's Art, Culture, Development, Heritage, History, Life, People, Society, Traditions, etc with art and technique of photography and to encourage professional and amateur photographers from all over the country

National Photography Award Reward
Life Time Achievement Award: It shall be awarded to renowned photographers of the country who have made a long and outstanding contribution in the various fields of photography at the national and international level.

National Photography Award Application form and Process
The participant has to submit the entries through e-mail and also send the print out of the photographs as mentioned in the guidelines below.
- No changes allowed: Once the entries are sent through e-mail, they will not be permitted for any replacement/cancellation/ addition and change in any case.
Guidelines for sending the Photograph
- File Size of the Image: Each Image should be less than 2 MB size
- Format of the Image: Image should be in JPG/JPEG
- Print out of the Images: Soft images should be supplemented with the hard copies in 8”x 10”.
- Please add the following information with the pictures
- Camera used
- Lens Focal Length
- Aperture
- Shutter Speed
- ISO Setting
- Place
- Application Fees: There is no application fee.
- No. of Entries that can be sent by the Photographers
- Professional Photographers: 15
- Amateur Photographers: 10
- Personal Information: Entry should not contain personally identifiable information about the participant or any other person.
- The picture should have been taken during the last two years time ending from the date
of commencement of the contest for the subject. - Third-Party: Entry should not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property owned by the third party.
- No commercial content: Entries should not contain any commercial content that promotes any product or service
- Only fresh & unpublished pictures would be considered for professional photographers.
- Only fresh pictures would be considered for amateur photographers.
Submission of the Application Form
The participants should be extremely careful while submitting their work. Below is the checklist of the things that have to be submitted to the ministry.

- High-Resolution Photographs in original size in raw/JPG/JPEG format
Submit Entries through e-mail
The participant must submit the entries to E-Mail ID: photoawards-moib@nic.in or photodiv@nic.in with a subject line “8th National Photography Awards” and category (Professional or Amateur).
Soft Images must be supplemented with the hard copy of images and the dimension of the hardcopy image is 8" by 10"
Sending the Entries by post
- After the participant has sent the photographs through e-mail they also need to send their images along with registration form and declaration (Schedule-I) to the mentioned address.

- Declaration Form: Fill Schedule 1 that is the Declaration in terms of Guidelines. Schedule 1 is a part of the guidelines of the competition.

National Photography Award Selection Process
8th National Photography Award Selection will consist of the Selection Committee comprising of a Chairman and not more than five members distinguished in the field of Photography or allied arts duly constituted by the Ministry of I&B, Government of India would be judging all the submitted entries.
The quorum for the deliberations of the Committee shall be at least 50% of the
members of the Committee including the Chairman.

Q - Is there any entry fee to participate in the photography contest?
No there is no fee to participate in the contest.
Q - Is it compulsory to submit the registration form and declaration form along with the images?
Yes, the registration and declaration form should be duly filled and sent.
Q- What do we have to send in the personnel work profile?
The personal work profile of the participant should be of 150 to 200 words along with a photograph of self (PP size, high resolution)
