About 7th National Level Photographic Competition 2014-15
- 7th National Level Photography Competition 2014-15 is being organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India in association with the Photo Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting
- Tribal students (scheduled tribe and student certificate by the relevant authority) and amateur photographers can participate in the contest under different category respectively.
- Theme of 7th National Level Photographic Competition 2014-15 is Tribal Customs and Heritage.

Category 1:Tribal Students (must have the Scheduled Tribe and student certificate issued by the concerned department) Category 2: Amateur Photographers i.e. those who don’t earn any kind of livelihood from the profession of photography. Not Eligible for the 7th National Level Photography Competition 2014-15

7th National Level Photographic Competition 2014-15 Reward
- The prizes will be given in the prize distribution ceremony.
- An exhibition of selected entries will be held in Delhi followed by exhibitions in selected Tribal Research Institutes throughout the country
Reward for Tribal Students (Category 1):
- First Prize: Rs 25,000
- Special Talent Award for the best Tribal Photographer: Rs. 20,000
- Second Prize: Rs. 15,000
- Third Prize: Rs. 10,000
- Commendation Award (10 individuals): Rs. 5,000 each
Reward for Amateur Photographers (Category 2):
- First Prize: Rs 25,000
- Special Talent Award for the best Tribal Photographer: Rs. 20,000
- Second Prize: Rs. 15,000
- Third Prize: Rs. 10,000
- Commendation Award (10 individuals): Rs. 5,000 each
Note: Only one award will be given to an individual
7th National Level Photographic Competition 2014-15 Application form and Process
- Participants can send the entries for the 7th National Level Photography Competition in form of color prints and the digital format in a DVD/CD.
- Entries sent must be enclosed in an envelope/packet, mentioned with the words “Entries for the Photo Contest: “TRIBAL CUSTOMS & HERITAGE” and should be addressed to

Guidelines for sending the photographs
- Format of the photograph can be in Portrait or landscape (size for Portrait 8” x 10” and Size for Landscape 12” x 15”)
- The person has to send colour photos,
- The digital Image should be of good quality,
- Digital Photos should be in jpeg format not less than 300 dpi & with the smaller size not less than 2400 pixels.
- Entrants can send any number of photographs but it must not be framed
- Description of the photos: A brief note in 50 words describing the Scheduled Tribe Photographed, location and why the photographer considers the photograph appropriate for the competition, must be sent with the entry.
- Details about the Photographer: Entrant must mention photographer’s name, his/her complete postal address, telephone number, e-mail ID (if any) on the back page of each photograph and on each DVD/CD
- Stamped & Self Addressed Envelope: Photos DVD/CD will be returned to the authors only if adequately stamped and self-addressed envelope is attached with the entries.
- A certificate must be sent with each submitted entry, confirming that the entrant is the author of the photograph and that he/she has not violated any kind of law in taking the photographs.
- The certificate should also include that the organizers will not be responsible for any claims/suit challenging the authorship, or infringement on the privacy of any person clearly recognizable in the photograph(s) submitted.

7th National Level Photographic Competition 2014-15 Selection Process
Winners will be announced after the evaluation made by a Jury consisting of three experienced members in the field of photography. The decision of the judges will be final.
