About National Human Rights Commission Winter Internship 2016
- National Human Rights Commission invites applications from Law graduates or final year students and Master’s Students of Social Science and related fields for National Human Rights Commission Winter Internship 2016.
- National Human Rights Commission Winter Internship 2016 will be a 30 days program starting from December 26, 2016, to January 24, 2017.
- The applicants will also be given stipend, library facility, computer with internet and awards for the top 3 candidates in the merit list.
- National Human Rights Commission Winter Internship 2016 will accept maximum 50 candidates and as a part of Internship program the candidates will undergo
- Classroom sessions
- Interactions with members of NHRC,
- Project work related to Human Right Issues.
- Field visits to NGOs, Jails, Old age homes, Juvenile Homes etc.
- Cultural Program on the eve of Valediction Day of the WIP 2016.
- On completion of the Internship, certificates will be issued on the basis of their performance on the following criteria:
- State Presentation, Project Presentation & Project Report and Book Review
- Attendance; Punctuality, Discipline, Participation in Class during sessions.

National Human Rights Commission Winter Internship 2016 Reward
The candidates selected for the Internship will be provided with library facility, computer with the internet and reading material related to Human Rights Commission. Details of the benefits offered to interns are:
- Stipend: The candidates from Delhi NCR region will be given monthly Stipend of Rs. 4000 while the students from other parts of the country will get Rs. 8000 as the stipend.
- Travel Allowance: The candidates coming from outside Delhi & NCR region will be provided with ordinary class train fare from their place to Delhi.
- Facilities: The interns will be provided with Intern Badges, reading material related to NHRC, library and a computer with internet facility.
- Awards: Amount of Rs. 15,000 will be distributed among candidates on the First, second and third place of Merit list.

- Application Form: The candidates interested in making application for the Internship program should fill in the application form and submit it via post.
>> Click here to download the Application Form. - Statement of Purpose: Applicant should also provide a 500 words hand written essay on “Reason for joining as Intern in NHRC”. The write up will play an important role in the selection process.
- The application should be signed and sealed by HOD of the respective department and should be accompanied by attested copies of marks sheets of class 12 to the last available mark sheet.
- The application should have “Application for WIP 2016” written on the envelope.

National Human Rights Commission Winter Internship 2016 Selection Process
- The selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of the merit list prepared on the following basis:
- Out of a total of 100 marks on account of Class XII @ 30 Marks, Graduation @ 30 Marks and the Marks scored in the Write-up of 500 words @ 40 Marks.
- On completion of the Internship, certificates will be issued on the basis of performance on the following criteria:
- Attendance, Punctuality, Discipline, Participation in Class during sessions, State Presentation, Project Presentation & Project Report and Book Review
