About Agatha Harrison fellowship
Ms. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship2017-18 is for Indian Nationals who have minimum 3 years of teaching experience at graduate/ post graduate level after completing Ph.D. The fellowship will be offered for a period of 1 year and which can be extended by one or more year on the basis of performance of the candidate. The application process of Ms. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship is continued until 15 September 2017.
This Fellowship is intended for a young scholar, who desires for pursuing an academic career in Modern Indian Studies funded by Government of India at St. Antony's College, Oxford (U.K.).

Apart from the above rewards, the candidate is eligible for Economy Class air passage (both ways). Only spouse of the selected candidate will be provided Economy Class Airfare provided he/she stays in UK with the scholar for a continuous period of one year.

The online application process has been started and the last date to apply was 15 September 2017. Candidates need to enter all the important details mentioned in the application form before submitting it to the authority.
Candidates who have already been abroad for studies/training/specialization either on Scholarship or on their own for a period exceeding 6 months are eligible to apply provided they have been in India for at least 3 consecutive years after returning from abroad. Candidates residing abroad are not eligible.
- While indicating the period of past experience and stay abroad, candidates should mention the specific dates.
Documents required to be submitted online
Candidates must have the following scanned documents while applying online:
- Self-attested certificates/degrees including date of birth, mark-sheets in respect of all the Examinations passed, experience certificate of Employment needs to be uploaded while applying online.
- Equivalent foreign degrees and diplomas are acceptable but the proof of equivalence should be furnished (Certified by the Competent Authority).
- Research Proposal: Candidates must submit a precise programme of study/research (minimum 500 words) and justification of their study/research being carried out in the United Kingdom. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
- Photograph and Signature: Candidates must upload their scanned photograph and signature in the online application form with dimensions 200 x 230 pixels and up to 530 KB in size.

The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final for Ms. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship Selection Process 2017. No representations in this connection will be entertained. Shortlisted candidate's name will be displayed on the Ministry's website that is www.mhrd.gov.in/scholarships and emails will be sent to the shortlisted candidates.
