About Medhabruti Scholarship
Medhabruti Scholarship 2019 provides support and motivation to outstanding students of Odisha pursuing higher studies in the field of General, Technical and Professional education. medhabruti scholarship scheme is popularly known as e-Medhabruti scholarship also. The Government of Odisha is offering different scholarship every year through the Department of Higher Education, Odisha on merit-cum-means basis. The application process for Medhabruti Scholarship 2019 has started, interested candidates can apply as per the following schedule. Registration for the e-Medhabruti scholarship can be done online. Medhabruti Scholarship For SAMS, Non- SAMS Students
Medhabruti Scholarship 2019 can be availed by both the SAMS as well as Non-SAMS Students. Application deadlines are also the same for both categories
- Students studying in SAMS (Student Academic Management System) Colleges (i.e.+2/+3 students admitted to Colleges through online selection by Govt. of Odisha) need not apply separately. The relevant documents such as mark sheets, income, residence and bank account details are to be submitted to Principal who will upload the data online.
- NON-SAMS students have to apply online for the scholarship. The students are required to submit the downloaded form along with supporting documents to the Head of the Institution where he/she is continuing the higher study. All applied records will be displayed in the Principal’s login who will verify the same.

The scholarship is given for 10 months a year to the students.

- The ratio for the scholarships awarded for +2, +3 and PG students would be 50:50 for boys and girls.
- A student already in receipt of any scholarship awarded by the State/Central Government or any other agency can not avail this scholarship unless he/she intends to forgo the other scholarship.
Mode of Scholarship Disbursement
- The disbursement will be made through the Electronic Credit System (ECS). The payments will be through the Savings Bank Accounts of the selected students directly by the above system. For this online account transfer, the Saving Bank A/c. of the students must be an inactive and operative condition.
- The scholarship amount shall be disbursed in a phased manner. If the scholarship amount could not be disbursed in a financial year due to any reason, the said disbursements shall be made in the next financial year.

Medhabruti Scholarship Application form and Process
Candidates can apply to Medhabruti Scholarship 2019 through online mode only. The application for Medhabruti has started from 1 November 2019. The applications will be filled and submitted online; candidates must retain the printout of filled application form for future reference. Steps to Fill Medhabruti 2019 Application Form
- STEP 1: Scholarship Information - Select the type of scholarship from given options
- STEP 2: Applicant Information - Fill their personal information such as Name, Gender, DOB, etc.
- STEP 3: Upload Photograph - Upload the photograph in the application form. The photograph should be in the format of JPG, JPEG or PNG file.
- STEP 4: Parent/Guardian Information - Fill the parent or guardian information in the application form.
- STEP 5: Permanent Address Information - Fill the detail of the permanent Address in this section
- STEP 6: Examination Information - Fill the educational information in this section.
- STEP 7: Bank Information - Provide the bank details for the transactions of the scholarship amount.
Documents to be uploaded with Medhbhruti scholarship form
- Resident certificate to be issued by the competent authority i.e Tahasildar/Addl Tahasildar
- Proof of annual income to be issued by the competent authority i.e. the Revenue officer not below the rank of Tahasildar or Addl. Tahasildar
- Mark sheets and certificate of last qualifying examination as required for different categories of merit'.
- Bank account details of the student concerned (First page of a bank account containing the account number and IFSC).
- College lD card issued by the concerned authority. while in the absence of the same' the student may provide admission receipt/Library card /Letter of Undertaking from concerned college authority (anyone)
- Aadhaar card of the student
Submission of Medhabruti 2019 Application Form
For SAMS College Students - The application form of Medhabruti Scholarship 2019 Application Form has to be filled and submitted through online mode only. Candidates must retain the print out of filled application form for their own as well as for the office.

Medhabruti Renewal Form
Candidates receive the medhabruti scholarship amount for a specific period. When the period to receive the scholarship amount ends, the amount is not sent to the candidate. To continue receiving the scholarship amount, the candidate has to fill the Medhabruti Renewal Form. There are three parts in the renewal application form, candidates have to fill their scholarship and institution details in part 1 and part 2 they have to fill their details. Bank information of the candidate has to be mentioned in part 3.

Medhabruti Scholarship Result
District wise merit list will be prepared for the e-medhabruti scholarship for the year 2019-20 proportionately basing on the strength of population of the concerned district.
Online validation at the level of institution Head/Principal of institution is mandatory for release of scholarship amount.
