About Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship
- Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarships are being offered by Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust at University of Oxford for the Post-graduate students from developing countries.
- The aim of Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship is to support the sustainable agriculture, food security and self-sufficiency of developing countries.
- The applicants after completing their education should return to their home country and should engage in work related to any of the below mentioned fields:
- The Agricultural Industry
- Development Areas
- Politics and/or law related to food security and/or sustainable agriculture
- Health Care
- Environmental and water management
- Economic, Public and Foreign policy.
- The benefits of the scholarship include, complete assistance in College/University fee along with grant to cover living allowance of at least 14,057 British Pound (Approx. INR 14 lakh).
- The applications for the scholarship are to be made along with the Admission applications.
- Interested candidates should submit answers to the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Questionnaire in order to be considered for the scholarship.
- The last date to apply for the scholarship is January 22, 2016 while the result will be made available in the month of May 2016.

Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship Rewards
The candidates selected as the winner of the Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship will be awarded with grant to cover their living expenses along with financial assistance for their fee. The details of the Rewards are as follow:
- Number of awards: The Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship will be awarded to 16 students.
- Duration of the award: Thescholarship is offered for thecomplete duration of theselected course.
- Living allowance: Theselected candidates will get financial grantof at least 14,057 British Pound (Approx. INR 14 lakh).
- University/College Fee: Thescholarship will cover 100% expenses of the fee of University/college.

Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship Application Process
The applications for Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship can be made online on the admission portal of Oxford University. The details of the application process are as follow:
- Application: The applications for the scholarships are to be made online at the same time while making application for the academic course.
- Questionnaires: Theinterested candidates along with submitting the admission application, should also submit answer of the questions given in the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Questionnaire.
- The answers should be of maximum 200 words.
- The candidates should get unconditionally accepted in the applied course in order to be considered for the Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship.

- Selection Criteria: The selection of the candidates for the scholarship will be done purely on the basis of academic merit.
- Interview: The shortlisted candidates will have to undergo personal interview via Skype in April 2016.
- Result: The selected candidates will be notified individually by May 2016, while no notification will be sent to other candidates.
