About KWHS Investment Competition 2018
KWHS Investment Competition is a free, global, online investment simulation for high school students (Class 9 to 12) and teachers. The registration for the KWHS Global Competition is now open at the official website of KWHS. KWHS is running competitions in three regions. The interested candidates can register KWHS competition 2018-2019 and select the appropriate region based on the location of the team. The last date to apply for the KWHS Investment competition is 16 September 2018.
There will be teams consist of 4 to 7 students, and the classes can have several competing teams i.e. student-led investment clubs and home-schooled teams are also eligible to participate. Each team will manage a portfolio of $100,000 in the virtual cash over the period of 10 weeks using Wharton’s OTIS (Online Trading and Investment Simulator). At Knowledge@Wharton High School Investment Competition, the Students learn about teamwork, investing, risk, communication, diversification, industry analysis, and company analysis.

KWHS Investment Competition 2018 Reward
The regional finale for 10 countries including India will be held at NSE Headquarters, Mumbai in February 2019 which will be followed by the Grand finale in May 2019 at the USA.
Monetary rewards for Global winners are:
- First Winner - $5,000
- Second Winner - $2,000
- Third Winner - $1,000
KWHS Investment Competition - Regional Finale
- The top analysts will get an opportunity to present their strategies either via video conference or in person at one of three regional finales.
- The top three winners will be awarded by trophies
- All the winning teams will be recognized in KWHS news stories and on various social media channels
KWHS Investment Competition - Global Finale
- The top teams from each region will be invited to attend a special Learning Day as well as present their strategies either via video conference or in person at The Wharton School, a Business School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia
- The top three global winners will be awarded by trophies
- Any additional prizes are at the discretion of competition sponsors, and are subject to change from year to year
- All the winning teams will be recognized in KWHS news stories and on various social media channels
KWHS Investment Competition 2018 Application form and Process
There will be a region-wise registration process for KWHS Investment Competition 2018-19. The applicants have to visit the official website and click on their Region to apply. The candidates can also click on the link provided below on this page. After that, they will be required to mention whether participating as a student or teacher/advisor and enter a valid email id. And, then they will be able to fill in the KWHS Investment Competition application form and provide the required details.

KWHS Investment Competition 2018 Selection Process
Winners will be selected on the strength as well as the articulation of their team strategies, not on the basis of their portfolios’ growth, which is a key distinction between this investment challenge and others.
Deliverables and Judging: The student competitors will be required to submit two deliverables including a brief mid-project team review and a more comprehensive final investment policy.
KWHS judges will review both the documents and select a group of top teams. The top teams will be invited to present their strategies to a panel of expert judges, and then the top analyst teams will be selected.
