About KGSP 2018
Korean Government Scholarship Program 2018 is being offered by the Government of the Republic of Korea for the applicants of 64 countries in the world. The Korean Government Scholarship Program is for the applicants who have completed high school degree with minimum 80% CGPA or equivalent percentage. The main objective of the Korean Government Scholarship Program 2018 is to provide opportunities to study at the higher educational institution in Korea to the international students. The scholarship will contribute to promoting the international exchange in education by selecting 95 Scholars from around 64 Countries across the globe. The eligible Indian students can submit the application form latest by 13 October 2017.

The applicants will be selected for the Korean Government Scholarship Program 2018 will be avail the following benefits of scholarship program from 1 March 2018 to 28 February 2023 (1-year language + 4-year degree program):

KGSP 2018 Application form and Process
The eligible students who are keen to get selected for the Korean Government Scholarship Program 2018 have to first apply offline. The applicants can download the application form on the official website of MHRD, Government of India at https://www.mhrd.gov.in. The applicants can also download the application form directly by clicking the link given on this page. To submit the offline application form, the applicants have to follow the instructions given below.

- First, the candidates have to download the MS word file of the application form on the official website or directly on this page.
- Thereafter, the candidates have to fill the application form and all required certificate formats by providing the information asked in there.
- The candidates will also have to choose 3 different universities and write their choice in form 1, 4 and 5.
- The candidates must mention their mailing address with postal code in the application form.
Documents Required for Korean Government Scholarship Application Form
The applicants have to submit 3 set of the photocopies of the original documents and 1 set of original documents:
- Completed application form
- NIIED pledge
- Personal statement
- Study plan
- 2 recommendation letters (must be recommended by the 2 separate recommenders)
- Completed self-medical assessment
- Certificate of High school
- High school grade transcript
- Certificate of citizenship of the applicant and parents
- Award certificate (optional)
- Certificate of proficiency in Korean or English language
- Certificate of health
- Copy of the passport
- Overseas Korean proof documents and supporting documents which indicates the generation status
Application Submission
The applicants can fill and submit the Korean Government Scholarship Program 2018 application form only through offline mode. After filling the all 4 set of the application form, the applicants have to place 1 sets of the original copy and 3 sets of photocopies of it along with other documents in a separate envelope and have to send it latest by 13 October 2017. The applicants have to send the application form directly to the embassy of the Republic of Korea at the address given below:

KGSP 2018 Selection Process
The selection process of the deserving applicant would be conducted in total 3 rounds which are mentioned below:
- First Round: 1st round of the selection process will be conducted by the Korean embassy. Each Korean embassy will announce the call for the applicants. Each Korean embassy will verify the submitted documents and will conduct the interview.
- Second Round: NIIED will conduct the 2nd round of selection process through a selection committee. The result of the second round of selection will be announced by NIIED on its website and the selected candidates will have to submit the passport copy and the certificate of health.
- Third Round: The 3rd round of selection will be conducted by the Korean Universities. NIIED will forward the application document of the selected candidates to the Universities. Each university will conduct the final round of review of admission and will also notify the selected candidates.
