KC Mahindra Scholarship 2021 for Post Graduate Studies

KC Mahindra Scholarship 2021 is given by KC Mahindra Trust and is a loan scholarship that is provided to the students for pursuing higher studies outside India. KC Mahindra Scholarship has been continuing since 1956  by KC Mahindra Education Trust. The last date of the scholarship application is 31 March 2021

• KC Mahindra Scholarship for post-graduate studies abroad is a part of the grants and scholarships initiative by KC Mahindra Education Trust. It is a loan Scholarship that is provided to the students.
• This interest-free loan scholarship is awarded to deserving students wanting to pursue their post-graduate studies out of India.
• KC Mahindra scholarship result will be released through leading newspapers in the country.

KC Mahindra Scholarship Dates 2021

KC Mahindra Scholarship Amount

KC Mahindra will offer scholarships as given below:

• Top 3 toppers: The top 3 K.C. Mahindra fellows will receive a maximum of Rs.8 lakh per scholar.
• Remaining Fellows: The remaining successful applicants will receive a maximum of Rs.4 lakh per scholar.

In 2018, 59 students were awarded K.C. Mahindra Scholarships for Postgraduate Studies Abroad. Top 3 recipients were awarded Rs. 8 lakh each as interest- free loan scholarship and 56 students received Rs 4 lakh of interest-free loan scholarships each.

Duration of the study

Duration of studies abroad would be for a maximum of two years unless specific approval of the Trust is obtained by the scholar to extend studies exceeding this period.

Repayment of Loan

The candidate shall repay the scholarship amount to the Trust within 24 months of completing the course or 48 months of receiving the scholarship, whichever is earlier, or such other expiry period as the Trust may in its sole discretion determine.

Employment after completing the course

After completing the course, the candidate will be free to serve any firm or institution of his / her choice. There will not be any obligation on the part of the Trustees to provide employment.

Step 1: Add Personal Details

Step 2: Add Education Details, Employment Details, Examination name and score, Name of Universities where the candidate has applied for admission

Step 3: Details of the guarantor for repayment of the loan

Step 4: Add the details of 3 referee 

Step 5: Upload Documents

Photocopies of the following documents have to be uploaded with the filled application form. List of documents required for the K. C. Mahindra Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies Abroad along with the way the files need to be named.

1. A Copy of Admission letters

2. A signed testimonial (letter of recommendation) from one referee. This letter should be on the letterhead of the institute or company.

KC Mahindra Scholarship Selection Process and Result

The decision of the Trustees, with regard to the annual awards, is based on the recommendation made by the Selection Committee. These recommendations are made on the basis of merit, but the character, aptitude and ambition of each individual candidate are also the guiding factors while making the selection for the KC Mahindra Scholarship.

Preference will be given to students who are interested to pursue their studies in subjects important for the development of the country, such as Survey and Prospecting of the mineral resources of the country, Alternate Sources of Energy, like Solar, Wind and Tidal Energy, and Bio-Gas Technology for rural areas, Oceanography, Off-shore Drilling, Harvesting of ocean wealth, like Sea-bed Mining, Fisheries and Exploration of other oceanic products, Water Management, Agricultural Research and Engineering, Transportation Economics, High-Tech. Electronics and any other emerging areas and industry.
