JBNSTS Junior Talent Search Test 2018: The Application Process has been started from 1 June 2018. The candidates can apply online as well as offline mode on this page. JBNSTS is for Class 11 students of West Bengal conducted by Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Kolkata which is an autonomous Registered Society. JBNSTS Junior Scholarship Search Test is conducted to identify and enhance the scientific talent of the students enrolled in Science stream during Class 11 & 12 and is considered to be one of the most reputed Scholarships of the country. To participate in the scholarship exam the candidates need to deposit examination fee of Rs. 100 while making the application. Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search, Kolkata was set up with a vision to pay tribute to India’s first modern scientist Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose. For the session 2018, JBNSTS Junior Scholarship test will be conducted on 19 August 2018.

JBNSTS Senior Talent Search Exam

The candidates qualifying the JBNSTS Junior Scholarship test will be eligible to the following benefits:

• Duration of the Scholarship: The Scholarship will be awarded for a period of 2 years i.e. for class 11 & 12.
• Monthly Scholarship: Rs. 1000 will be given to the candidates shortlisted for the award of the scholarship.
• Book Grant: Rs. 2500 will be given to students as book grant for two years.
• The Scholars selected for the scholarship will get exposure to seminars, projects, scientific workshops and colloquia.

Application Form: Application form can be downloaded from the link given below, can be obtained by in person from JBNSTS office or by sending a self-addressed envelope with Rs. 10 postal stamps on it.

Application Fee: In the case of Offline Application, the candidates are required to deposit the examination fee of Rs.100 by the means of Bank draft is drawn in the favour of ‘Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search’ payable at Kolkata.

Documents: In order to complete the application, the following documents are required to be attached along with the application form

• 3 recent passport size photographs
• Documents of Class 10: The application form needs to be accompanied by a photocopy of Class 10 admit card and mark sheet.
• Bank Draft: Bank Draft of Rs.100 is to be attached with the application to cover application Fee.
• Proof of Class 11 Admission: The student should send the photocopy of library card/ Identity card or fee book.
• Self-addressed envelope: Self-addressed envelope with postal stamp of Rs.10/- for sending admit card.

Application Form: In the case of online application, the application form needs to be filled on the official website of JBNSTS.

Application Fee: The Candidates are required to pay the examination fee of Rs.100 by credit card/ debit card/ net banking or by the means of SBI Challan.

Documents: In order to complete the application, the following documents are required to be uploaded to complete the application form:

• Photograph
• Signature
• Documents of Class 10: Scanned copy of Class 10 mark sheet in pdf format.
• Proof of Class 11 Admission: Scanned copy of library card/ Identity card or fee receipt (in pdf format) as a proof of admission in class 11.

For Online Application: Completing the online application form and making the payment of the application fee is itself enough to complete the submission of the application form.

For Offline Applications: The applicants will receive JBNSTS Admit Card 2018 by post until 10 August 2018. The offline applicants can download their provisional Admit Card from the link below. In case, the students do not receive the admit card, they should contact JBNSTS office (033 2442 8267).

For Online Applications: The admit card can be downloaded from the given link. Candidates are required to use the Registration Number and fee Transaction ID to download the admit card.

JBNSTS Junior Scholarship selection process will be done on the basis of the Written Test and Interview. The details of the selection process are as follow:

• Written Test: The written test will be conducted at various test centres located in the state of West Bengal. The examination will consist of short questions from Mathematical Science, Biological Science and Physical Science. The maximum marks of the exam will be 90 and the time allotted for the exam will be 2 hours. 

• Interview: The candidates successful in the written examination will be called for Personal Interview and the scholarship will be awarded to the candidates who successfully clear the interview. Candidates should take the printout of their Interview letter from the same page and present the same at the time of Interview.

JBNSTS Junior Talent Search Test Result

The result for the JBNSTS 2018 Junior Talent Search Test will be released in the month of November 2018. The candidates appearing in the exam will be conducted on 19 August 2018 can check their name in the list which will be released by JBNSTS. In 2017, a total of 430 students get selected to appear in the interview for which they had to download the letter of the interview.
