About International Olympiad of English Language (iOEL)
International Olympiad of English Language (IOEL) is organised annually by Silver Zone Foundation in association with Education Society of English Language. Students from class 1 to 12 can participate in International Olympiad of English Language (IOEL) and the examination is based on CBSE/ICSE syllabus of the respective class. The participation in the International Olympiad of English Language (IOEL) is by the means of schools only as the registration as well the exam of Level 1 & 2 will be done by the respective school.

The examination was conducted at three different levels where successful candidates advance to next level and compete for the top position. The Olympiad examination by Silver Zone is conducted in schools of over 14 countries and more than 9000 schools in India and abroad are registered with SilverZone. The result of the examination is declared on 8 January 2018.

International Olympiad of English Language (iOEL) Reward
Based on the result of Olympiad Examination, the candidates scoring top ranks in each level of examination will be awarded the following prizes:
- Level 1: The students scoring top rank will compete at the next level and the following prizes will be given in Level 1
- Wrist Watch will be given to candidates scoring rank among Top 4-10 ranks.
- Candidates with ranks between top 11 to 25 ranks will get Exciting Gifts.
- Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to candidates scoring rank among top 26 – 200 ranks.
- Class Toppers (1st, 2nd and 3rd) from each class of every school will be provided with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals provided that they obtain minimum 50% marks in the Olympiad examination.
- All candidates participating in the IOEL18 will be provided with Student Participation Certificate with their Class/ Olympiad/ Rank mentioned on them.
- Level 2:
- A Winner Trophy and Cash prize of Rs.50,000 will be given to the candidates scoring the First rank in class 11 & a Winner Trophy and Cash prize of Rs.75,000 will be given to the candidates scoring the first rank in class 12.
- Rs. 15,000 along with Winner’s Trophy will be given to the students of class 1 to 10 scoring the first rank.
- Rs. 10,000 along with a Winner’s Trophy will be given to the candidates who scored Second Rank in the Olympiad Examination.
- A Cash prize of Rs. 5,000 and a Winner’s Trophy will be given to the candidates scoring the Third rank in the Olympiad examination.
- Topper Achievement Medals & Exciting Prizes will be given to the candidates scoring 1st 2nd & 3rd rank at the State level.
- Level 3: Top 2 students of the 3rd level participants will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000 OR Trip to the UK along with a Winner’s Trophy.
International Olympiad of English Language (iOEL) Application form and Process
The registration of the students will be done by their respective schools, and the level 1 and 2 of the examination will be conducted in the school. The registration process will start on 1 April 2017. The last date to apply for the IOEL is 30 September 2017. The candidates are advised to apply on or before the due date.
The application process has been closed for this year and the application link is not activated. It will activate again for the next year program.

The applications will be made offline and need to be done by the schools. Individual applications will not be entertained for IOEL 18. There are two dates decided for the exam which is 8 November 2017 and 7 December 2017. The schools are required to select the date of exam according to their suitability.
Important Points Related to IOEL 18 Application Form
- The candidates have to pay the participation fee in order to participate in the IOEL 18. The payment will be done either by Demand Draft or by account transfer.
- The International Olympiad of English Language Examination will be conducted at three different levels and the top scorers from each level will advance to the next level.
- The Olympiad is scheduled for the two dates i.e 8 November 2017 and 7 December 2017.
- Anyone of the following mentioned methods can be adopted by the schools in order to make the payment for the examination.

Fee Details for International Olympiads of English Language 2017-18
- For Schools in India: From the participation fee given below, Rs 20 shall be retained by the school against its expenses towards compensation of the invigilator and other expenses like postal expenses, DD charges and photocopying, etc. The cost of study material is not included in the fee.
- For Schools Outside India: From the participation fee given below, USD$2 shall be retained by the school against its expenses towards compensation of the invigilator and other expenses like postal expenses, DD charges and photocopying, etc. The cost of study material is not included in the fee.

Submission of Application Form
Candidates are advised to check the details of the application form and then make the final submission as the candidates need to know that once the application gets submitted, the candidates will not be able to change the details of the application form

International Olympiad of English Language (iOEL) Selection Process
The examination will be conducted on three levels, Level 1 & 2 examinations will be conducted in the respective schools while Level 3 examination will be conducted in New Delhi.
- All students are eligible to participate in in level 1 of the examination and the examination for the same will be conducted on 8 November 2017 and 7 December 2017. The result of the examination will be declared in January 2018.
- Level 2 examination will be conducted for the top 500 Olympiad rank holders of level 1. The examination will be conducted in the month of January/February 2018.
- The Examination of Level 3 will be conducted in New Delhi and will be organised in July/ August 2018.

Exam Pattern for International Olympiad of English Language
The exam will be conducted in 2 groups and the pattern of the exam will be different for each group:
- For Classes 1 to 2:
- Number of questions: 40
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Type of Questions: Multiple choice answers
- Negative Marking: No
- For class 3 to 2:
- Number of questions: 50
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Type of Questions: Multiple choice answers (on OMR sheet).
- Negative Marking: No
