About IIT Roorkee Summer Internship
IIT Roorkee Summer Internship Programme is for the students of Engineering Colleges and is being offered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Students from any engineering college of the country can apply for the internship provided the supervisor and the HOD of the concerned department agrees to provide the training and facilities in the department. The list of the departments given below.
- Internship Duration: Two Months
- Internship Dates: May 15, 2017, to July 15, 2017

IIT Roorkee Summer Internship Application form and Process
- Candidates have to download the Application Form from the Institute website and send the duly filled in Application Form back to the faculty of the concerned department/centre. Download Here. One faculty is allowed to take only one student for the internship
- Project Brief: The candidate has to send the brief description of the project along with the application form.
- Fee for the Internship: A bench fee of Rs. 5000 P.M. per student be charged by the Institute from the students/ sponsoring Institute(s).
- The charges for hostel rent and mess will be extra as per norms if such facility is available and provided.
IIT Roorkee Summer Internship Selection Process
Result of the Internship
- Recommendation: The department will send a recommendation to the Dean Academics by December 31, 2016.The faculty has to give consent to provide summer internship to the candidate and submit the form in the department/centre.A faculty can take only one candidate for the summer internship provided faculty is available at the station during the summer vacation.
- Final Selection: The selection of candidates for summer internship will be done centrally by January 31, 2017, to ensure good candidates are selected for the summer internship.
The training certificate will be given by the faculty supervisor only, after satisfactory completion of the training.
The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (formerly University of Roorkee), a premier Institute of Science and technology offers 23 undergraduate courses including IDD and Integrated M.Tech. in Engineering & Architecture and 49 postgraduate courses in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Technology and Business Administration.
