IISER Behrampur Logo Design Competition 2016

IISER Behrampur Logo Design Competition 2016 is announced globally by the institution. This competition is organised for the development of identity & branding and capturing & promoting the main value/s of the organisation through the promotional logo. The last date for receiving of application form and logo CD for the competition is December 15, 2016, before 17:00 hrs

• Recently, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, has announced the establishment of a new IISER institution in Behrampur. The logo of the IISER Behrampur is not decided yet, this logo competition is been conducted for the same. 
• The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research already has many institutions in various cities in India such as Bhopal, Mohali, Thiruvananthapuram, Pune, and Tirupati.

The winner will be awarded cash prizes and a certificate. The prize-winning logo will be used by IISER Berhampur for promotional and display purposes:

• Prize Money: Rs. 51,000.
• A Certificate.

STEP 1: The candidate has to fill the application filling the required details such as his/her Name, Gender, Nationality, Contact Number, etc.

STEP 2: Choose the relevant affidavit which must be scribed on Stamp Paper of Rs. 100 and must be attested by first class Magistrate/Notary/Oath. There are two affidavits, one for Individual and one for Organization. 

• A specification sheet containing graphical construction of the design in exact proportions in a bigger size, along with final design, theme synopsis and concept is required to be submitted. All technical details, including file formats, can be structured in the sheet itself.

Specifications of logo

• Candidates must send the soft copy of designed logo in CD/DVD only in JPEG/PNG/PDF/ PSD/ CDR format.
• The resolution of logo should be high with minimum 300 DPI and designed in colour.
• The logo should be created digitally for the purpose of editing and opening in file format.
• Candidate should not watermark or imprint logo design.
• The designed logo should be useful for the online platforms such as website/ social media sites like Twitter/Facebook as well as on printed material such as black and white press releases, stationery and signage. 

• The design of logo must be original work and shall not be an infringement of Intellectual Property Rights
• The logo must not cover any provocative, issuable or inappropriate content.

IISER Behrampur Logo Competition Application Submission

The application for the contest has to be super scribed with “Logo Design Competition”. The candidates must send their duly filled application form and logo in hard/ soft copy (CD) by post at the following address. If candidates submit their application form and logo through any other medium will not be considered.

Along with the application, the candidate has to mandatorily submit an affidavit on Stamp Paper of Rs. 100 which is attested by first class Magistrate/Notary/Oath Commissioner showing therein full details of father’s/husband’s name and residential address along with the application form. 

• Candidates’ logo designs received by IISER Berhampur will be checked by selection committee for final evaluation.
• Logo design will be judged on the basis of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit, visual impact and its relevance to the core functions of Basic Sciences.
• Any decision-related clarification won’t be provided to the candidate and the decision of the selection committee would be final and binding on all the contestants.
• The unselected logo design shall not be used by the IISER Berhampur and also they shall have no intellectual rights over the same. There is no provision of returning the logo design to the candidate and will be destroyed within 3 months.

It is to be noted that if candidate’s designed logo has won the competition it would be the legal property of the IISER Berhampur and the winner cannot claim any right over it, after acceptance of the prize.
