About IGKO
IGKO 2018: International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO) is an Olympiad Exam conducted and promoted by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). IGKO 2018 is conducted to give importance to General Knowledge, Awareness about Current Events of India and the world. Students from Class 1 to 10 are eligible to participate in SOF IGKO 2018. It must be noted that students can only participate through their school as no candidates are eligible to apply individually for SOF IGKO. The top performers of the IGKO Olympiad will get scholarships, gifts, and awards as per SOF norms. IGKO 2018 BY SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation)
is a non-profit Educational organization, established by leading academicians, scientists and media personalities, which conducts various Olympiad exams to promote Science, Mathematics, Computer, and English. Every year SOF conducts Six Olympiads:

- International Company Secretaries Olympiad ICSO
- International General Knowledge Olympiad IGKO
IGKO 2018 Exam Dates
The IGKO (International General Knowledge Olympiad) Exam will be conducted on two dates. Schools can select a date for conducting the IGKO 2018 as per their convenience. Both dates of the exam will have a separate question paper. The exam dates of SOF IGKO 2018 are:

IGKO Reward
The winners and top performers of the SOF IGKO Olympiad will get scholarships, certificates, gifts and awards as per SOF norms. For the year 2018-19, a sum of Rs. 16 Crores will be incurred towards IGKO awards, felicitations, scholarships etc. The scholarships and awards are provided to winners on the basis of three different levels, which are International Level, Zonal Level, and Class Topper.

IGKO Application form and Process
The application process of SOF IGKO 2018 is as follows:
- Registration of the School: The school should be registered with SOF so that the students can participate in the IGKO 2018 Olympiad Exam. Schools that are not registered with SOF can request for registration by sending the details of the schools to the SOF.
- Registration of the Students: The SOF will send prospectus and registration forms to all the registered schools. The schools will have to return the duly filled in registration forms to SOF before the due date.
- Roll Number: The roll number of the students will be generated by the school’s coordinating teacher. The school will have to send the roll numbers along with the Students’ Registration Sheet (SRS) and School Registration Form (SRF) to the SOF Office before the last date of submission.
- Registration Fee: The participation fee is Rs. 125 for each student. The school can also charge Rs. 25 for each student for its expenses.
IGKO Selection Process
The SOF IGKO is an objective-type exam which is conducted during the school hours. The duration of the IGKO (International General Knowledge Olympiad) 2018 test is 60 minutes. The number of questions varies according to the class. From class 1 to 4, there are 35 multiple choice questions and for class 5 to 10, there are 50 multiple choice questions. IGKO Result
IGKO Result will be declared in the second week of October 2018. The participants of IGKO 2018 will be ranked on the basis of marks obtained in the test. There are no IGKO cut off marks in that a student is required to score in order to get selected. The students can check their SOF IGKO Result here.

IGKO Sample Papers
The IGKO (International General Knowledge Olympiad) sample paper are designed by the experts to make students familiar with the exam pattern, exam structure, syllabus covered, and marking scheme which can help them to make a smart strategy and plan for the preparation of the IGO exam. IGKO Syllabus
As per the SOF IGKO Syllabus, Class 1 to Class 10, there will be four sections i.e. General Awareness, Current Affairs, Life Skills, Achievers Section. The total number of questions and the total number of marks are different in Class 1 to 4 and Class 5 to 10.
Section 1: General Awareness - Topics based on important events around the world
Section 2: Current Affairs - It contains questions about recent events.
Section 3: Life Skills - It contains topics based on abilities for managing and living a better quality of life.
Section 4: Achievers Section - It contains Higher Order Thinking Skills questions.
