The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme 2017

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme 2017 is invited by French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.The Scholarship Programme 2017 is being offered for Masters  & Ph.D studies in the field of:

• Engineering science
• Economics
• Management
• Law and Political sciences.

• The duration of Master’s scholarship is from 12 to 36 months while for PhD the duration is 10 months.The applications for the Scholarship are to be made by French establishments offering admission to foreign candidates for the mentioned courses.
• The Eiffel scholarship does not cover Tuition Fee but the candidates selected will be awarded return air ticket, monthly allowance (Approx. INR 87,000 to 1 lakh), social security cover and various other benefits.
• Deadline: The applications for The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme 2017 will be accepted until January 06, 2017.
• Type of Scholarship: Partially Paid Scholarship
• Course level: Master’s & PhD.
• Duration of Scholarship: For Masters: 12-36 months, For PhD : 10 months

Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme Important Dates 2017

The candidates selected for the scholarship will enjoy different benefits based on his/her level of study. The details of the benefits of The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme are:

• For Master’s Students: The duration of the program will depend on the level of study being undertaken, the details are as follow:
  • Duration:
    • Maximum of 12 months for entry at M2 level,
    • Maximum of 24 months for entry at M1 level,
    • Maximum of 36 months for an engineering degree.
  • Air Fare: The candidates will be entitled to one international return journey.
  • Monthly allowance:The candidates will be offered a monthly allowance of 1181 Euro (Approx. Rs. 87,000).
  • Other benefits:The candidates will get Social Security Cover and will also be a part of the cultural activities. Under certain conditions, candidates may get an additional housing allowance.
• For PhD Students: For PhD students, the duration of the scholarship is 10 months and only Law students are allowed to complete the scholarship in 2 or 3 stays in France during a period of 3 years. Details of other benefits of Scholarship are:
  • Air Fare: The candidates will be entitled to one international return journey.
  • Monthly allowance: The candidates will be offered a monthly allowance of 1400 Euro (Approx. Rs. 1 lakh).
  • Other benefits: The candidates will get Social Security Cover and will also be a part of the cultural activities. Under certain conditions, candidates may get an additional housing allowance.

• There is no direct application process for the interested students neither applications from students will be accepted.
• In order to apply for the scholarship, the candidates are required to get in touch with French Higher Education Establishment.
• French Higher Education Establishments pre-select their candidates from the foreign candidates to whom they have offered a place on a course of study.The establishment should complete the online application procedure for the candidates.

The selection criteria of Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme are as follows:

• The excellence of the candidate, as depicted by their scores in academics & the originality of their research subject.
• The cooperation and partnership policy of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, and in particular, the priority is given to any specific countries for this Programme.
• The international policy of the establishment nominating the candidate, the excellence of the host department, the establishment’s compatibility with the candidate being nominated, its efforts to publicise the Eiffel Programme and its continued support of scholarship holders, especially through a partnership with France Alumni.

Eiffel Scholarship Result: The result of the selected candidates will be declared on March 20, 2017.
