AWES Scholarship 2017 will be given to the Army Personnel for their education. Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has created this Education Scholarship Scheme for Army Personnel (ESSA). It is the Education Scholarship Scheme for the wards of the  Army Personnel where the annual scholarships are provided to the students based on their merit of the respective classes. The last date of application form submission for AWES Scholarship 2017 is 30 November 2017.

Education Scholarship Scheme for Army Personnel (ESSA) 2017 is for children of Serving Army Personnel who are pursuing Class 9 to PG/ Professional Courses. The scholarships under ESSA will be provided by Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) and will be given at three levels, namely:

• Class 9 to 12
• Graduation
• Professional / PG Courses

The rates of scholarships, based on the level of education for all categories are as under.

ESSA Scholarship will be paid through NEFT/Multi City Cheques drawn on the name of the applicant of successful candidates. ESSA scholarship awardees will be given merit certificate by AWES.

The application form of AWES Scholarship can be filled through offline mode. Candidates have to download the application form from the official website of AWES or click on the following link to get the application form.

Submission of the Application

The application form of Serving Army Officers, JCOs, and OR will be submitted through offline mode. Candidates have to send the application form to Director ESSA at the following address as per Appendices A and B duly scrutinized by their Commanding Officers/ Head of Departments.

The application form has to be submitted along with the photocopy of marks sheet/ both semester of the year duly attested by the Headmaster/Principal/HOD to above-mentioned address. The downloaded mark sheet/ result will not be accepted unless attested by the School / College. Eligible ESSA applications in respect of Defence Security Corps (DSC) personnel will be accepted through their Record Office only.

The following details are mandatory to fill in the application form:

• Name of Officers/JCO/OR applying for scholarship as per bank record
• Name of the Bank and full address
• Bank Account No. of the Applicant
• IFSC code
• One cancelled cheque of the present handling the account to be attached
• Mobile phone Number of the applicant

The selection of the candidate will be based on cut off percentages/ grades in classes. Cut off percentages/grades for various classes and categories are given below:
