About DAAD Scholarship
- DAAD or Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst scholarship is a German Academic Exchange Service and invites applications for Scholarship for students from Developing Countries for pursuing Master's programs in various German Institutes. It is a full paid scholarship for study in Germany.
- DAAD Scholarship for Development Related Post Graduate Courses is for students who want to pursue Master's Degree in the mentioned subjects from the related institutes located in Germany. (List given below)
- The DAAD Scholarship will be given to the candidates who successfully secure admission in listed Colleges in Germany for the academic session 2017-18.
- Application to the DAAD Scholarship program is not a sufficient condition for admission in the German Institutes rather the scholarship will only be given to the students who have successfully obtained admission in the given list of Institutes.
- The scholarship application has to be submitted along with the application for the Master's Programme so the student should apply to the institutes well in time to be eligible for the DAAD scholarship.
- The winners of the scholarship will get a complete waiver of Tuition fee, a monthly stipend, and other additional benefits.

DAAD Scholarship Reward
The candidates selected for the scholarship will be provided with the following benefits:
- Tuition fee: The tuition fee of the candidates receiving DAAD Scholarship will be waived off by the Institute.
- Monthly Stipend: The scholarship recipients will get monthly stipend of EUR 750.
- Insurance: Certain payments toward health insurance coverage will also be made by DAAD.
- Travel Allowance: DAAD will also pay appropriate travel allowance if the same is not covered by home country or any other nation.
- Other allowances: The scholarship will pay a study and research allowance along with the cost of mandatory 2 month German course before the beginning of the academic program at the respective institute in Germany.
DAAD Scholarship Application form and Process
For the candidates willing to apply for DAAD Scholarship, they need not fil any separate form for the DAAD scholarship. The applications can be made alongside the online application. The details are as follow:
- Mode of Application: The candidates can apply online for the scholarship while applying for admission in their selected institute in Germany.
- Selecting the options for DAAD Application: Candidates need to check "I would like to apply for financial assistance" and "I would like to apply for the DAAD scholarship" while completing the application form.
- Financial Assistance Application: The candidates need to fill the Institute's Financial Assistance Application form, which will open at its own when the above mentioned options are selected.

DAAD Scholarship Selection Process
DAAD Scholarship will be offered only to the candidates who were able to get admission in any German Institute, those candidates who were unable to get admission will not be eligible for the scholarship.
- DAAD will publish a list of shortlisted candidates and those candidates will be interviewed on Phone or on Skype.
- Based on the Interview, the Institutes will pre-select scholars and the final decision regarding the allocation of scholarship will be made by DAAD.
- The selected candidates will be informed by the DAAD directly.
