About CodeVita 2016
CodeVita, conducted by TATA Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) which is going to be held for the 5th time as CodeVita Season 5. The Objective of the TCS CodeVita contest is the promotion of the coding among the students and to promote the passionate coders to the various platforms to brush up their skills and talent. The Last date for the CodeVita Registration 2016 is July 26, 2016, till 11:45 PM.
- CodeVita 2016 Season 5 is a team contest. A team must have 2 members from the same Institutes.
- Initially, there will be two coding rounds from which the selected teams will participate in the Global Round. Top teams from across the world will fight for the Prestigious Title.
- First prize winner of the competition will get $10,000, followed by Job opportunities and global ranking across coders in the world.

TCS CodeVita 2015 emerged with more than 1,97,000 registrations with more than 3700 institutes participation.
CodeVita Season 4 had witnessed 197,639 registrations this year from 3708 colleges. Out of these 83,000 teams reached phase 1 and the Top 15 teams moved to the Final phase of the contest.
Top 15 team teams flew into Hyderabad to compete in the Grand Finale out of which 12 teams were from India, 1 team from Slovakia and 2 teams from Peru.

CodeVita 2016 Application form and Process
CodeVita Registrations 2016 will be done online only. Contestants have to register to participate in the contest by following the link given below

STEP 1: Contestants have to select the IT option in the TCS nextstep registration, firstly among "IT" and "BPS" options. Further candidates have to Click on Campus/Off Campus Applicants whichever applicable.
STEP 2: Fill in the application form with personal and contact details. Contestants have to choose a password for future login.
STEP 3: After successfully completing the application form click the submit option and login to the portal with the login ID and password.
STEP 4: Search for the campus commune link at the left corner of the page. Click on the ‘Launch the campus Commune’ option.
STEP 5: Now contestants can register to the TCS CodeVita contest by clicking the image given below to the home page.
STEP 6: Complete the registration and team formation process and click on submit the application form before July 26, 2016.
Note: CodeVita is a team competition where only a team of two members can participate from the same institutions (can be from different year of passing and specializations).
CodeVita 2016 Selection Process
The TCS Code vita contest is going to be conducted in the two rounds i.e. codeVita Round 1 and CodeVita Round 2, which will be going to held before the global rounds. According to the scores of each round jury will select the team which will compete in the Global event with the top coders around the world.
CodeVita Round 1
CodeVita Round 1 will be going to begin from 3:00 PM July 29, 2016 and end on 3:00 PM on July 30, 2016. Participants will be given 6 Hours time to solve the given problem it is advised to candidates to start as soon as possible to have a better duration of time left afterwards. If applicants missed to starts on July 29, 2016, they can start round 1 before 9AM on July 30, 2016 to get a full-time slot of 6 hours.
Applicants will get their login details from the campus commune it is advisable for the candidate to note down their login details.
- Login with Username and Secret Code (from Campus commune Page) as a password.
- Applicants have to submit solutions to the questions in as many supported languages(C, C++, C#, Java, Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, JavaScript and Julia) so as to ensure that local compilers / interpreters are compatible with those on CodeVita Server.
- Ensure that https://www.tcscodevita.com is accessible from your target environment.
- Last but not the least ,Plagiarism will have very serious consequences , we have a team dedicated to checking plagiarism , so refrain from copying codes.
- There is No Negative Marking. applicants can submit as many solutions in as many languages they feel comfortable with.
- Presentation Error status is treated the same as Accepted status. Once you get a PE, move on to next question. Don't waste time trying to get it "Accepted".
- Two team member submitting the correct solution for the same problem will count only once against the team scores. It is a dumb strategy for both team members to work on the same problem independently. Teammates have to co-operate and compete as one unit against other teams.
- By now you must know the difference between Public Test Cases (those used as examples in problem text) and Private test cases. Passing Public Test cases is no guarantee that your code passes private test cases too. Don't send emails or make phone calls to support helpline asking them why it shows "Accepted" in Compile & Run functionality but "Wrong Answer" in Submissions page.
