About Charpak Internship Program
Charpak Research Internship Program 2019 is conducted by the French Embassy in India in salutation to the Nobel Prize-winning physicist Georges Charpak. The application process has started from 15 January 2019. The candidates can apply now for the Charpak Research Internship. The Charpak Scholarship is offered for three types of Programs.
- Research Internship Program
- Master’s Program
- Exchange Program
- This page gives details on the Charpak Internship Program 2019. The last date to submit the Charpak Research Internship Program 2019 Application Form is 4 March 2019. The Charpak Internship 2019 Results is likely to be declared by 1 April 2019.
- Charpak Internship 2019 is offered for students who are pursuing graduate or postgraduate studies in science, economics or engineering fields and wish to attend training courses at a French laboratory during the academic break, i.e. between May and July. The student has to approach the laboratory on their own as per their research interest before applying for the scholarship.
- The minimum duration of Charpak Internship is 2 months and maximum duration is 3 months (May to July 2019).

Charpak Internship Program Reward
Charpak Internship awardees will get the following Benefits:
Waiver of student visa fee: The students will receive a waiver of the student visa fee.
Monthly Stipend
- The interns will receive a monthly stipend from the Embassy for 2-3 months depending on the duration of the internship.
- 800 euros (students interning at host institutions/laboratories situated in Paris
- 650 euros (students interning at host institutions/laboratories situated outside of Paris)
Stipend from French Labs: Some students may receive a stipend of 550 euros per month for internship covering more than eight weeks. Students need to discuss this directly with the Labs.
Medical Insurance: Charpak Internship will also cover the medical insurance of the students during their internship period.
- Accommodation: Students will also receive assistance for finding suitable accommodation during the internship period.

Eligible students can apply for Charpak Internship in France by visiting the link given below. Candidate needs to create an account first and later fill all the details and submit the documents online only. Only scanned copies of the documents will be accepted. Photos of the documents will NOT be accepted. The step to fill the application form is mentioned below.

Steps to Fill the Charpak Internship Program Application Form 2019
STEP 1: Click on the link above and sign up there by filling the necessary details like Name, Aadhar number, Email Id and Phone number.
STEP 2: Candidate now can log in multiple times and has to fill all the details like academic and upload the required documents.
STEP 3: Click on save and submit to complete the application process.
Charpak Internship Program 2019 - Documents to be Submitted
- The first page of the passport
- In case, your passport arrives after the deadline, attach a copy of the passport application.
- A copy of the curriculum vitae of maximum 2 pages.
- A copy of the acceptance/ admission letter from the French institution/laboratory. In case you have still not received it by the deadline, attach a copy of the email correspondence with the French party.
- Attested copy of mark sheets of Class 12, Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (also include semester-wise mark sheets).
- French language certificate issued by Alliance Française in Indiaoranyrecognised university (OR) in case French was a second language.
- Class 10 mark sheet
- Class 12 mark sheet
- University mark sheet and degree
- NOC from the Indian institution
Note: All the above documents must be in word, pdf or jpeg format (rtf, odt, txt, msg documents, zip folders or scans of social media are NOT acceptable)
Charpak Internship Research Application Submission
The candidates who have filled the application form are suggested to submit the same to register their submission. The candidates are also advised to check the details in the filled in application form before the final submission. The candidates should also keep a hard copy of the application for future reference. Do not send a hard copy of the application form.
Charpak Internship Program Selection Process
Students applying for Charpak Internship 2019 will be selected on the basis of merit, consistency and the quality of their statement of purpose. Knowledge of the French language is accepted, although it is not mandatory.
The Charpak Internship 2019 Results is likely to be published on the website by 1 April 2019. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
