CBSE Udaan Program for Class 11 and 12 girls - Free Coaching

CBSE Udaan Program for Class 11 and 12 Girls is an initiative by CBSE for mentoring of 1000 Girl Students to compete for admission at India's Premier Engineering Colleges. CBSE Udaan program aims to enrich mathematics and science education among girls at the school level and also to address the low enrollment ratio of girl students in engineering colleges. CBSE Udaan program is an initiative to provide free engineering entrance exams preparation for girls in India. Students of class 11 studying in any of the Indian recognised board are eligible to apply for the Udaan program. The last of CBSE Udaan Program for Class 11 and 12 Girls application submission is 7 August 2017.

Latest Update: The last date for application submission of CBSE Udaan Program for Class 11 and 12 Girls is extended from 31 July 2017 to 7 August 2017.

• CBSE UDAAN Video Tutorial for Class 12 is available. The candidates can go through the online videos.
  
• In addition to online classes and study materials, selected students will be offered financial assistance to take admissions to the premier Indian Engineering Colleges.
• Once these girls are selected in IITs or NITs they will receive the financial assistance to pursue the course.

Number of selected girl students: Total 1000 girl students will be selected to attend the online tutorial classes for preparation of JEE Main & JEE Advanced for IIT including lectures and study materials.

Other benefits of the CBSE Udaan Program:

• Students will receive free of cost comprehensive course in an offline & online format.
• Students will be given tablets provided with preloaded content to allow 24x7 learning in a convenient manner.
  • Orientation class: A 2-day Orientation class will be offered to selected students regarding use of technology. Classes will be held at New Delhi during the 2/3 week of November 2017.
  • Students will get the reimbursement for the second class train fare for their two nights stay at Delhi including one companion.
• Comprehensive assessment system will be applied for students attending the classes to result in accumulation of reward points.
• Students' Helpline: Students will be able to access the helpline to enhance their learning skills.
• Redemption of Reward points to financial assistance: Financial assistance by means of reward points will be offered towards redemption of fees in IITs and NITs.
• Periodic counselling to motivate students and parents will be offered.
•  Students will be required to reach the designated venue on their own by 10 AM on the designated date (will be informed separately).
• Reservation of Seats: The reservation offered in UDAAN Program is as follow: OBC (NCL) - 27 % , SC – 15 % , ST – 7.5 % ,PWD – 3 % of seats in every category.

Note: Students will be eligible to receive financial assistance only after securing admissions in the IIT and NIT Institutes in the country.

Terms and Conditions for the selected girl students under CBSE Udaan Program

• Tablets given to the student will be at the responsibility of the parents. 
• Attendance: Students will be required to maintain an 80% attendance at the contact classes.
  • Students who drop below 80% attendance will lose 50% of all points accrued. Additionally, if the attendance drops below 70% at any time, the student will be dropped from the program. 
• Drop out : Students who drop out of the program for any reason will have to submit the study material and the tablet to the city coordinator.
• Compulsory Assessments: Students will be required to be present for 80% of the compulsory assessments conducted.Students who do not take the compulsory assessments will not be eligible to accrue points.

Detailed Step by step Procedure to fill the Application Form

Step 1: Fill in the Application Form- Candidates have to fill in their personal, education and other details.

Step 2: Upload Photograph: Candidates have to upload their photograph with signature at the bottom of the photograph. Specifications of the photograph:

• Format: .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .gif 
• File Size: It should be less than 50KB
• Dimensions:  dimensions should be less than 150X150 pixels

Step 3: Take the printout of filled Application form

Step 4: Get the Verification certificate signed by the school Principal

Step 5: Download Undertaking to be signed by the parent

Other things to get verified from the Principal along with the Application Form

1. Undertaking that applicant is a regular student of the mentioned school
2. Annual income certificate
3. Reservation certificate (if applicable)
4. Class 10 mark sheet/grade sheet fulfilling the eligibility criteria
5. Undertaking (attached in the annexure of Udaan brochure) filled and signed by the parent/guardian of the applicant

Submission of Application Form

The candidates are required to take a printout of the duly filled in application form and along with the documents at the chosen centre on or before 7 August 2017. After verification, take the verified application form along with required documents including verification certificate of the school principal and confirmation by applicants to the city coordinator of the chosen centre.

Upon submission, candidates must collect filled acknowledgement receipt of their application

CBSE Udaan program selection procedure will be based on the merit cum means and preference will be given to girls belonging to economically deprived families. Consideration will also be given to the city option made by the candidate for the weekly personal contact classes.
