CBSE Essay Writing Competition on Constitution of India

• On the occasion of Constitution day i.e. November 27, 2015, CBSE is organizing Essay Writing Competition on Constitution of India for school students.
• The students interested in participating in CBSE Essay writing Competition on Constitution of India should write an essay of the topics provided by CBSE.
  • The word limit of the essay depends on the class of the student.
• The details related to the topics, word limit and category of participation has been provided by CBSE and is mentioned later in the sections below.
• Prizes: For each of the category 12 winners will be selected and the winners will be awarded the cash prize of Rs. 2,500.
• Participation: The submission can be done either using CBSE website or using the mobile app.
  • The submission of the entries can be done on November 28, 29 & 30, 2015 by any of the above-mentioned methods.

CBSE Essay Competition on Constitution of IndiaRewards

The winner selected from each category will be awarded cash prize while all the participants will get Certificate of Participation. The details of prizes are:

• Number of winners: Total 36 winners will be selected i.e. 12 from each category.
• Cash Prize: The candidates selected for the award of the prize will get cash prize worth Rs. 2500 each along with Certificate of Merit.
• Participation Certificate: All the students participating in the competition will get Certificate of Participation.

CBSE Essay Competition on Constitution of India Application Process

The entries for the competition will be accepted by the means of Website as well as the mobile app. The details related to the entries and submission processes are as follow:

• Response sheet: Candidates can download the response sheet complete the details asked there, and upload the same to complete the submission.
• Topics: The participants are required to write an essay on the following topics:
  • Category 1: The participants from Class 1-5 are required to write an essay of maximum 250 words on the following topics:
    • My duties as a responsible citizen of India
    • Our National Symbols
    • What do you know about the Constitution of India?
  • Category 2: The participants from Class 6-8 are required to write an essay of maximum 500 words on the following topics:
    • The unique features of the Constitution of India
    • The Preamble: the ideal of the people of India
    • The Constitution of India symbolizes
    • Significance of the Constitution of India
  • Category 3: The participants from Class 6-8 are required to write an essay of maximum 750 words on the following topics:
    • The making of the Constitution of India
    • Role of the Constitution of India in our everyday life
    • The Constitution of India: a living document
    • Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties are complementary to each other
• Language: The essay can be in English along with any of the 22 language as scheduled in Constitution of India.
• Submission of Entries: The entries can be submitted either using link available on website or by using the mobile app. The details are as follow:
  • Using the Website: The link to upload the entries in form of  jpeg/ jpg/ doc format (file size less than 5 MB) on the website will be made available on the CBSE website by November 28 to 30, 2015
  • Using Mobile App: The images or scanned copies of the response sheet can be uploaded via mobile app on the following numbers:
    • Classes 1 to 5: 7065963925
    • Classes 6 to 8: 7065963926
    • Classes 9 to 12: 7065963927

• The selection of the entries will be done on the basis of the creativity of expression of views and originality of the content.
